I know but god damn it's a mind fuck man. Like even Poland, a violent and corrupt country full of legitimate Neo Nazis can regulate it. Sounds like someone wants to move to Poland. I remember not long ago I’d write to punk bands from Poland and the recordings they made there WERE ILLEGAL. They had to sneak that shit out of the country. Lol are you a boomer or something? I literally talked about how shitty of a country Poland is, and even Polish people don't want to live there.... Yet they can still regulate guns.

Maybe we should just admit that we live in a super fucked up society and people are going to go apeshit and kill people no matter what. If it’s not guns it’s knives, petrol bombs, acid, and UHaul rentals. I think our backwards capitalist culture is a big factor. Not so much rap music and video games, but the nature of the dog eat dog society we live in. Should it be harder to obtain guns? I think so. Registration and outright bans are fucking stupid. If that ever were to happen I’d lose mine somehow in a boating accident I’ve states before - I own five and they all have a purpose. Also - people for sure hunt with ARs. I know three guys who took down elk w/ 308 and 6.5 creedmoor AR10s just this last year. The "if it's not guns it's knives" argument is so weak. When has anyone walked into a public place with a knife and killed dozens of people? Guns increase deaths, and while they do have a purpose(especially in rural areas)... There's no reason they should be as easily accessible as they are in America now, especially military grade weapons. Also, hunting elk with an automatic rifle is fucking dumb and just means you suck at hunting.

There’s a reason why there’s a correlation between our gun laws and amount of gun deaths..it’s not just a mental health thing.

Granted, I had already completed more FBI and security checks than I would have liked due to my job and barely had/have a traffic ticket to my name, so it's not like they had to check much. But it was still in and out.

I got my old man a hunting knife from walmart for father's day and the dude was going to unlock the case and fumbles thru his keys and says, "Oh you know what? We lost this one and the gun case one, let me call my supervisor" and my brother says "Oh yeah, those are two keys you wanna lose" lol

The actual shot has nothing to do with your ability to hunt - it’s not like elk just hang out in the open. A lot of times they’re lighter. You’re not emptying a full mag in to an elk. One shot. Also if you google knife attacks - especially in the UK and China you’ll find many. Here’s just one where someone killed 9 kids in a school. www.google.com/amp/s/amp.scmp.com/news/china/policies-politics/article/2143776/seven-schoolchildren-killed-china-knife-attack-blamed

We should just be regulating the shit out of ammo to where you can only easily buy it for use at gun ranges and you can’t just go out and buy 500 rounds to do a mass shooting whenever you please.
Gun enthusiasts can still keep their guns and everyone else can sleep at night because their neighbor isn’t rapidly unloading clip after clip into the woods at 2:00 am on a weeknight.

Most gun enthusiasts aren’t buying ammo - they’re making their own.

It needs to be harder to get a gun. Every one I have took me less than an hour to get.
Japan has a nice program - I wouldn’t mind if we had something similar to that. You have to pass a background check and become licensed to possess. You have to update your license every year.
A lot of these mass shootings are done with guns that have been purchased within days/hours.

I grew up in a small town in eastern Oregon and every time I put something up for sale on craigslist, I would get flooded with emails offering to trade guns. Straight up, I had someone offer me a handgun with ammo for a fucking Xbox 360. If ya'll don't see the problem with that, then I don't fucking know what to say.

The issue is high capacity magazines and assault rifles. If you claim you need any of those things either to hunt, or fight against the government, or a fascist invasion, or whatever, you are delusional, and should not have those things in the first place. But that's not reality.
21+ sales. Mandatory safety classes. A license like a concealed carry permit, but something that must be state issued and monitored. I think that'd really take care of alot of issues. Not all but alot.

Tons of censorship. I remember writing to bands and the shit would be confiscated and searched and not allowed to leave the country.

I love how there are multiple mass killings by firearm in the USA every week and the “why not ban knives too then?” People pull up some knife spree killing in a country where it happens around one in a million every two decades to justify their position.
We had a massacre here in Australia, no more high capacity guns. More regulation and a huge buyback scheme and amnesty. No more spree killings for ages. The last one was done with a shotgun on a remote farm so it was on easy mode. You cant wander into a crowd here with a gun and just start murdering. All thanks to regulation. If you want to hunt or shoot targets or collect guns you can, you just cant go building an armory and everything is tracked. Personally I’m glad.

When Aussie Hitler rises to power with a fucking ponytail and alligator tooth lined sun hat you’ll all be defenseless.

I’m sure if guns were available to the most poorest people here they would start going nuts with them. Mind you, most spree killings in the USA are middle class white men am I right? They dont come from ghettos they come from mummy making them mad by taking their xbox away.

As much are you would love the idea of Wolfenstein becoming a reality, it's not going to happen. Even if it does, no one's going to win a guerrilla war against a high-tech military. It's pure fantasy. Same with any right-winged argument that guns are to defend against a tyrannical government. 300 years ago that was a good idea and worked. Not now and most likely not ever again. Living in fear and hypotheticals of a civil war is a very poor way to live your life. It’s not a fear of hypothetical anything. It’s responsibility in a world that historically favors fascism. To not be able to provide your homeland with any degree of defense against a fascist government is pure foolishness. LOL believing you stand a chance against the technology the military has because you have an AR instead of a handgun is real foolishness. I'm sure it will be very effective at shooting predator drones you can't even see.

LOL believing you stand a chance against the technology the military has because you have an AR instead of a handgun is real foolishness. I'm sure it will be very effective at shooting predator drones you can't even see. Again, your defeatist stance is absurd. Millions of armed Americans is still a tactical challenge. Especially when the public can aim at you from a distance and are not forced into close combat with handguns or shotguns. Your government wants your ability to aim at a distance because it wants to further oppress you in time. Sure they can nuke and blow up cities and go wild. But that’ll also destroy infrastructure and resources that the pigs also want. Perhaps you do not feel oppressed today. I can find you many Americans who do. I can find you many whose lives are at risk any time a pig engages them. So those folks don’t even have the right to protect their home? The gun is not always a tool for use. It’s somewhat of an equalizer against you and the pig whose job it is to oppress you. Without this threat against tyranny small or large, your government will in time become more oppressive to maybe not you at first, but to others who are marginalized and surely you will be next in time. Trump is in office and you want to stand down as your own keeper? Whether you own or do not, it’s a terrible idea for the future. I live in a state where guns are heavily regulated and choose not to own here. But I take comfort knowing that the it’s not just psychopaths and criminals that are the only people who can own rifles. And if future Hitler rises up, the ability to immediately shut down democracy is hindered by millions of armed Americans. My father was alive and during the holocaust, it was not that long ago and should not be ignored or thought of as an isolated incident. History is full of those incidents and the lineage of those same perpetrators are still holding all the money, pussy and guns.
