When asked to respond to critics who say prayers aren’t enough to prevent shootings, he told CNN: “Well, those are people that don’t believe in an almighty God who is absolutely in control of our lives. I’m a Christian. I believe that he is.”
I guess he’s the type of Christian who doesn’t believe in free will.

If it’s psych drugs I’d blame things like HIMS where people are just being sent drugs with seemingly minimal oversight from a professional. There’s a potential but unclear link between SSRI’s and other antidepressants and suicide. And mass shootings seem like a good way to commit suicide by cop and take a bunch of people down with you. But it would be a lot harder to do this if guns, especially guns with the ability to kill lots of people quickly, weren’t so readily available. Social media is also probably making people feel like more people are enemies to kill. But again, without easy access to weapons of war it probably wouldn’t be this bad.
Idea: Make cops commit to non lethal methods to bring in the shooters so they have to live with the consequences. This would incentivize them to start targeting places with lots of guns like gun ranges and gun expos.

HIMS has been selling mental health services for a nanosecond (three years apparently) compared to the mass shootings. Every country has mental illness, every country has gay and trans people, and every country has organized crime.
There is something missing from the equation we don't all share but I just can't put my finger on it...
