I don't know anything about Scowl, they would pop up on my Spotify occasionally and I didn't think it was bad, that was years ago though. Hardcore Twitter seems to be defensive of them right now

I like how they've built a strawman to turn it into a sexism thing. Like, nah, the shit was lame back when it was the Scion shows in the late aughts and it's somehow even lamer now with the PBR and Taco Bell shit.
