I want to like Outlaw Country but from what the Xirius XM station of the moniker plays, I can't.
I love Willy Nelson's roadhouse.
Amy I being misled by my willingness to be spoon fed by Xirius? Is this my "Ok, Boomer" moment?

My dad is 60 and it's the only station besides BB Kings Bluesville and Tom Petty's station that he listens to on Sirius. |

Maybe I've tuned in at the wrong time but I've only heard newer stuff.
Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard are what I imagine when conjuring "Outlaw Country" but it wasn't the experience that I had. Was worried that such a cool name was being wasted on new garbage!

John Prine is sick with Corona, that's hella shitty. He is my favorite of songwriter of all time. He has survived cancer twice but this doesn't look great. Fiona liked a picture I posted of him on instagram last year it made my day. |
