Damn, I just woke up and saw this. Looks like my musical choices for the next week are sorted.
Let's cross our fingers, boys. He had to have touched more germs on those letter routes than the 'Rona can offer.

He wrote a lot of good songs, I think I like his version better of 25 minutes to go although the Cash one is a more intense version.

I'm honestly not a huge Cash fan anymore, I was as a kid but I guess I've just grown bored.

Fiona Prine made a post about how frustrated she was with Trump and now these Prine "fans" are attacking her as if John Prine hasn't been writing protest songs and social commentary with a left-wing bias for decades. Did you miss "Your Flag Decal Won't Get You into Heaven Anymore"?
Prine and Steve Earle covering Loretta by Townes Van Zandt.

Apparently he didn't even want to write kids books and was friends with Waylon and Johnny Cash. He was also friends with David Allen Coe and encouraged him to record his x-rated songs. "I love Polly in a porny. I keep on goin' back. In the very last row I'm singin' low With my coat bouncin' in my lap. I spend each dime I can afford. I swear she's gonna win an Academy award. I saw Polly in a porny with a pony, And the pony looked a little bored."

I'm not going to front like I've listened to a ton of John Prine, but I always thought it would be inevitable out of my love for people like TVZ. No better time to start than now. RIP to a real one.

John Prine and Springsteen backstage with Dylan after a Dylan concert. It's hard to put into words how much this mans work meant to me. He was Mark Twain, George Carlin and Hank Williams all in one. I'm crushed.

Man he’s one of the best. If you like tvz, make room in your heart for John. His cover of “my old Kentucky home” rips my heart out every time.
