Threw this album on at work earlier this week and I’ve been stuck on it for like the past 4 days

Nick Shoulders - Okay, Crawdad or Home On the Rage (but any of his stuff will do) Charley Crockett - Music City, USA Blue Cactus - Stranger Again Cactus Lee - Texas Music Forever Garrett T. Capps - All Night, All Right Vincent Neil Emerson - s/t Elijah Ocean - Born Blue Nathan Kalish - Songs For Nobody Riddy Arman - Spirits, Angels Or Lies Mapache - s/t All fairly recent, fairly popular stuff that spans the spectrum of country music from honky tonk revivalist to singer songwriter bluesman. In terms of older artists, listen to Gram Parsons and George Jones. Seriously, thank you for this. I enjoyed everything apart from Garrett T Capps and the blues songs on Music City USA I’ve found myself skipping. Highlights for me have been Blue Cactus, Vincent Neil Emerson, Riddy Arman and Nick Shoulders. Time to start ehmvincent list but it’s been a great place to start.

Cheers, it's only scratching the surface of course. You might want to look into GemsOnVHS or WesternAF's youtube channels as well. Great to put on in the background, kind of variety hour for up and comers vibes. Given they're not what tipped you on Colter Wall/ Benjamin Tod in the first place that is.

Daniel Romano - Sleep Beneath The Willow Drive By Truckers - the Dirty South (See Also Jason Isbell) Justin Townes Earle - Nothings Gonna Change The Way You Feel About Me Now John Moreland - High On Tulsa Heat Sturgill Simpson - Metamodern Sounds In Country Music Ryan Bingham - Junky Star Sam Outlaw - Angeleno Croy & The Boys - Howdy High-Rise Richmond Fontaine - You Can't Go Back If There's Nothing To Go Back To Joshua Hedley - Mr. Jukebox Probably not as varied but some banger albums. Old Shit I'd say Tom T. Hall, Buck Owens, Blaze Foley, Marty Robbins, Johnny Paycheck and so on. Cruise the thread for sure, tons of videos all over the place. Now this is a list

Cocaine And Rhinestones getting all grim and true crime has me shook. The whole part about the day Tammy died bummed me out. Such a sad situation

Definitely more uptempo than his last songs, I’m excited for a new album.

The verses on that specific Romano song kinda have the same groove as "It's Nothing To Me". It's a stretch but lines like "I've been cheated and double crossed" flows like "Now don’t be a fool" and such. Anyway, Charley Crockett - Poplar Tree; Logan Ledger - Lights Of San Francisco and Theo Lawrence - In The Back Of My Mind might scratch the itch.

Will definitely try to go to this because I desperately want to see Willie, Charley Crockett, Logan Ledger and Sierra Ferrell. NOT looking forward to the fest nature of it and the terrible crowd that will be there.

Being a country cosplaying Euro it's not my place to say anything really but that bill feels like there's gonna be a whole lot of country cosplaying coachella types in that crowd. Lineup is solid though so at least you're getting your money's worth.

I have work conference in Nashville in a few weeks..
Anyone know of any stuff to check out? I know it’s become a real shit haven for drunk tourists, but does anyone have any recommendations for old country shit to see and do?
Hoping Ernest Tubb’s isn’t closed by then, but don’t know what else to check out besides maybe the orchid lounge.

Glad the Turnpike Troubadours are back. I feel like they get written off as too mainstream by the annoying hipster country fans and too alt-country by the mainstream country media. I love that red dirt sound.
