wen't to the old 97s, Steve Earle, turnpike troubadours show last night. Missed the old 97s because the show started right at 6. Watched Steve Earle get booed because he said he grew up close to Uvalde and we need gun control (before playing one of his biggest songs…about gun control). His logo being a hammer and sickle probably didn’t help (even though it is cool) but the crowd fucking sucked. Last time I saw tt there were maybe 2-3000 people mostly hippies and frat guys. There were like 10,000+ tonight they must be getting a lot of airplay. Sounded good, but looked disinterested. The fanbase shifted to newest outfit from tractor supply or fuck Biden shirts dudes.

I'm guessing he's used to being booed for his views and isn't quiet about it. Sounds like a fun show musically and Steve Earle rocks and helped birth what shoulda been a great, fuck 'em. Saw Joshua Ray Walker last week and the rodeo was in town so that brought in some lovely outta towners.
