New Charley Crockett tomorrow. Should be really good, he played a bunch of it live about a month ago when I saw him in Kalamazoo MI.
I don't mind the new Tyler Childers song but it seems wasteful that he's releasing 3 versions of an album with 8 songs. Lotta Lotta gospel.

I’m into the triple album thing. Love hearing an artists songs with different interpretations. Kind of like sturgill’s bluegrass albums covering his own stuff.

Can't stop listening to Odessa. I'm exceptionally bummed out he's coming to Europe and only doing shows at a three hour drive from my door.

Can I Take My Hounds To Heaven is amazing
Hallelujah and Jubilee versions shine.
Such a great gospel, funk, southern country jam.

This has always been one of the most uncomfortable pictures ever right? Big fan of all parties too.

Took my old man to see Todd Snider and Otis Gibbs. Haven’t been to a show together since John Prine months before he died and everything wen't to shit. As always he played almost everything people yelled out. The highlight was the girl on acid just wondering on stage.

I took my dad to see Steve Earle a couple of months back and it was an awesome experience as well. I was in G-Milf heaven.

The new Garrett T. Capps album is even weirder than the ones before but it's good. Get into it if you like your country alt.

I know I've posted this before but imagine having Isbell as your backing guitarist nowadays.

Tangentially related to Justin and the talent he attracted: His side man during the Midnight in the Movies era was Cory Younts, he was incredible. Wish he stuck it out with JTE, but I guess he couldn't say no to Old Crow.

Ya I feel it's a wise choice. Looked up what he's done and he's also playing with Jack White, very cool.

Anyone watching second episode of George and Tammy tonight? Show is certainly off but I like Michael Shannon, I'll see it all the way through.

Show is entertaining, but it's got that Walk the Line sheen on it. Shannon is pretty good, and I feel for them because it's a thankless job trying to sing those songs.

What's everyone AOTY?
I think Garrett T. Capps takes it for me, haven't been able to put that new record down. Julianna Riolino and Charley Crockett round out the top three.

Rattlesnake Milk - Chicken Fried Snake Wade Sapp - Radio Check Joshua Hedley - Neon Blue CMAT - If My Wife New I’d Be Dead Hank Williams Jr. - Rich White Honkey Blues Plains - I Walked With You a Ways IV And The Strange Band - Southern Circus Tyler Childers - Can I take My Hounds To Heaven Hellbound Glory - Nobody Knows You S.G. Goodman - Teeth Marks
Copied from top 10 records. I honestly think if RSM dropped that album at the beginning of the year it would still be my #1.

That album finally clicked. On The Road, Die Young, Midnight Train, Looking For A Halo, Coyote. It's all good.
