Under armour reached out to me regarding some potential photo shoot and I feel like turning it down. Never done anything for a company before and i know my anxiety would be through the roof, just thinking about being there and not really knowing what the fuck I'm doing is already giving me anxiety. Fuck. Fake it til you make it! I'm sure you'll be able to pick it up quickly as they give you direction. Seems like a great experience, I don't think they'd be trying to do anything too overwhelming for you to accomplish.

We'll see what happens, they had some other people lined up as well.

Ugh, welcome everyone back! For those who may remember me, a few shots I did in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone in October.

Cross-post with the film photo thread. the first shot with the car is gorgeous. side note: iirc you have to really nail the exposure with velvia - like spot fucking on. otherwise you'll get weird colors. proper exposure will produce vivid colors without any cast. i dont remember if its a slide film quirk or just a velvia quirk.

Thanks for the positive feedback! I am so excited with the photographs. Im making them in weird ways. This last summer I broke my 4x5 and could not afford replace it. Im also in grad school getting my MFA so I needed to find a way to photograph without a camera. I ended up coming across this archive of commercial photographs on ebay and bought it. I wasnt totally sure what to expect. When I got the package I was able to research the images and found out that they commissioned by a textile manufacture in PA to be used for advertisements in a JC penny catalogs. What I ended up getting in the package is about 1000 8x10 color slides. I drum scanned them and started printing them out and rephotographing them on a borrowed camera in my studio. Id scan my own images and make digital multiple exposures and print them out and then make in camera multiple exposures. Sometimes this process gets repeated. Other times it doesnt.
At some point Ill try to upload photos of the set ups in the studio because they are super cool too. Ill also post those to my instagram matthewcroninstudio if you wanna check it out

Oh it's for a sure a slide film thing, I usually get pretty accurate readings with my Sekonic but most of the outdoor shots I took on the Velvia for this trip were done with an app on my phone . The indoor shot with the mask is Velvia as well and I really like how that one turned out, but that was the Sekonic! That car shot would have gone unnoticed had my girlfriend not yelled at me to pullover when she spotted it haha. It's one of the very few photos I'm legitimately proud of, thanks man!

Trying to bump this thread with some stuff I've done these past few months. These are fantastic. Particularly love the postal portraits. Who do you shoot for?

Thanks man! Those carnage shots are killer. The postal shots are actually just of my dad during his retirement party. I had them envisioned in my head for a while and he was down to let it happen.
I work for a few local papers but a lot of my stuff is just freelance work I get from sending out emails. I shoot a lot of sports stuff too but 90% of my income is weddings
