I have an Olympus OMD EM10 MII and it came with a couple of entry level zoom lenses but I'm thinking about picking up a fixed 45mm lens. Basically I want a nice all rounder. Is a 45mm a good option?

Those short open prime lenses are game changers for anyone trying to get into photography.
I'm fortunate enough to to have a Pentax so I have about 40 years worth of Pentax and 3rd party lenses to choose from for my K20d.
I really need to get back into photography, but something about Instagram and cellphone cameras has killed that drive in me.

I’ve got a Pentax km, and a shitty canon rebel. I barely shoot digitally anymore unless I’m out of film:

I'd probably go with something in the 18-24mm range as an all-arounder.

Two photos I took for the Ambush 12". I'm not a photographer by any mean, but I'd love to get into it. Have always wanted to do something like this and am glad I got the opportunity to. also, a question for the vets here - how do i control the pixelization in a photo? As you can tell, the pictures are somewhat pixelated and when printed weren't that bad, but noticeable up close. Trying to get a lot of contrast and keep it clear was difficult, but then again I was just using an online photoshop.

Missed the board and found the new one through reddit! Haven't been shooting as much as I'd like to this summer, but here are a few from the last couple of months! Nikon F3HP - Fujifilm Provia 100F Ricoh GRII

Posting. Just picked up an Olympus Stylus Epic Zoom 140 based on a recommendation from a friend. I've been shooting on disposables at shows for a year or two now and I decided to just move up to a glorified disposable camera basically haha. Excited to get into it. I have Nikon FG that I got for like $30 a few years ago but I've been so intimidated by it and never really started using it, especially since I mostly want to take pics of bands.

A lot of people might try to tell you that the ZOOM models are no good, they're wrong. Sure the lenses aren't as sharp as an MJU-II or Infinity Stylus but they're still great. I've got a zoom 120 that is my main point and shoot film camera at the moment and have gotten great results out of it. It's tricky getting into P&S film cameras these days, prices are skyrocketing for equipment that can rarely be fixed without having extra broken bodies for spare parts. You can check out some samples here! They're great cameras! www.flickr.com/photos/hi5photos/albums/72157670981051007

Maybe if I stick with it I can upgrade later but I think my goal is to have fun with this and if it seems like a long term enjoyment then I will just start workin with my Nikon FG or something!

Bunch of updates on my site today. Also, I am releasing my first book (technically a zine) at the beginning of October. It's called In Good Company and will be a volumed approach. 28 pages to start, b&w with a mix of film and digital. Gonna start with 25 copies as a preliminary run for $15.00. You can check out, for a brief time, some of the images that will be in the first issue under the "In Good Company" tab on my site. :) aarondurall.com

Under armour reached out to me regarding some potential photo shoot and I feel like turning it down. Never done anything for a company before and i know my anxiety would be through the roof, just thinking about being there and not really knowing what the fuck I'm doing is already giving me anxiety. Fuck.
