I liked the story more in season 3 plus I'm a big fan of Mahershela Ali. Just clicked a little more with me.

The ending was great. And as much as love the characters and the show, they should just leave it at that. I could see it working as an anthology series if each season was a different set of characters. But really, they should leave it at one season and not milk it. Same. It’d be cool if they made the next season east coast.

I still think about Season 1 all the time. What was the black hole Rust saw? What do the spirals mean? Was that even the Yellow King? WHO WAS THE MAN WITH SCARVES?

Some thoughts Having been on the receiving end of phone calls like the one they received, I feel like the show was able to capture the reality of that situation, which is the initial shock, followed by the attempt to gather as much information as you can to sort of distract yourself from the reality of that news.
The chaotic nature of it felt very real, and each of their reactions felt very true to character. Roman not willing to accept it and arguing with them about what they know or don't know, Kendall trying to coordinate with doctors on the ground and set up a conference call, Shiv feeling left out or like they didn't tell her soon enough. But the thing I liked is that the moments where it could have devolved into argument, they were quickly met with empathy. Frank on the plane knowing that Kendall's unrealistic demand to speak to the pilot was coming from the shock he was experiencing, and Kendall realizing it was pointless; Shiv calling Roman delusional but then relenting when she empathizes with how he is processing the pain; Shiv being snippy with Tom only to immediately apologize. It was all played so well.
The pilot episode had a Logan health scare so it's kind of wild to see this inevitability play out finally and how they all react despite everything he has put them through. Also loved Kendall saying he can't forgive him but that he loves him. That's the weird thing about familial love. You love them even if they don't really deserve it. I have also been on the end of one of those calls and it was so surreal to watch how accurate it felt. The camera work was also on point. Amazing job by the entire crew

Yellowjackets has gone full on BOORRRRINGG I gave up in the second episode, lol. Slow, convoluted, boring, took no time doing Showtime things and jumping the shark

Late to the game but ripped through the first season of the bear and I loved it. Definitely gives you ptsd if you’ve ever worked in a kitchen though. Show stressed me out. Glad new season is only like 2 months away.

The Morning Show was a lot better than I’d anticipated. Season 1 was really solid. Season 2, not as solid, but still super enjoyable.
S2: Ep10 was pretty triggering with Alex and the evolution of her COVID. A little too close to home for anyone who lost somebody to the disease.
Save for a few out of place, lovesick moments with Cory Ellison, that dude’s character rocks so hard and Billy Crudup kills the role. Kinda like an anti-Ari Gold from Entourage. Tough, quick-witted, razor sharp tongue, but not a steaming pile of trash as a human.
Loved it. Hope we get a season 3.

Succession gang wassup? I’m about to start the episode. I can’t wait to see the fallout from last week.

Been obsessively watching on patrol: live. It's on peacock. It's like cops but way more random cause one minute you're just watching traffic stops, then outta nowhere you're in a fuckin high speed chase through neighborhoods and the car crashes, then it turns into a foot pursuit. Then it just goes back traffic stops and dealing with nuisances like meth heads loitering and talking mad shit. Each episode is 3 fuckin hours and there's like 75 of them or some shit.

Just put on this new Scorsese Showtime David Johansen flick ("Personality Crisis: One Night Only") and so far he's walked onstage and launched into a lounge jazz version of "Funky but Chic" and, uh, well so far I'm entertained.

First two episodes of Barry have been phenomenal. Definitely phasing out any and all comedy, although I got a kick out of Hank and Cristobal bringing the rival factions to the sports bar

2nd episode of Barry was definitely funny. There’s the Livewire and Groove Tube bit, and their conversation after. “Did you like the names I picked?” Cousineau has some lines played for laughs too, I burst out laughing at the rocket ship one.

Like from a beignet man giving life advice to a widow poisoning Barry for revenge in less than 10 minutes with an insane action sequence in the middle of it. The writing / storyboarding is really something else.

Yeah perhaps “phasing out any and all comedy” is a reach, but the moments of dread and anxiety feel much heavier this time around

Probably a hot take, but I enjoyed all 3 seasons of True Detective. If season 2 or 3 hadn't been under the True Detective name, everyone would be obsessed with those as much as they are with season 1.

2 was always doomed.
- Bad cast (when Vince Vaughn is the best one, you know you’re in trouble) - no Arkapaw - wen't from Cary doing the whole season to multiple directors including the fast and furious director lol - Nic got caught plagiarizing so he had to really write it which turns out was less than ideal

I feel like season 2 will achieve some cult status at some point. I think its OK. I hated how Vince Vaughns character talked in riddles the entire time.

I tried really hard to approach s2 with a clean slate, but I did not like the opening episode at all. All the characters were unlikable but also did not leave me feeling invested in their stories. I will probably give it another shot eventually

First two episodes of Barry have been phenomenal. Definitely phasing out any and all comedy, although I got a kick out of Hank and Cristobal bringing the rival factions to the sports bar I'm feeling tonal whiplash when it goes into comedy these days. S3 was so bleak and far less funny (intentionally). I find the dark humor of Barry and Fuchs separately trying to fuck each other over to the feds very funny, but when it veers into Noho Hank at the D&B's its like, ok you've got a bit too much dip on your chip here.
