Oh and I’m intrigued on how FIFA goes about 2026. Seems like 90% or tickets for the Euros have ended up going to the allocated teams. Do they give out huge allocations for the atmosphere? Or do they go all in on ‘growing the game’ and cater mostly to locals? If I had to guess there will be no atmosphere. Won’t be any worse than the last one |

Not many countries can say they've had a Ballon D'Or winner in the last decade. I guess when you consider their size it's overachieving, but they've had one of the best midfields in Europe for a while.
They'll probably still make tournaments after this too, just won't reach those heights for a while.

I guess this generation of Croatians goes down with Nedved's Czechs and a million Netherlands teams as the best international side to never win anything. In some ways better than going down with 2004 Greece and 1966 England as the worst international sides to win something.
