Started painting my kitchen cabinets this past weekend and they're coming out pretty well. Will post pics when complete. I desperately need to do this.

Thanks man. I've got this and the bathroom ceiling on my list for as soon as I can have some windows open.

1987sqft house. mortgage/taxes/insurance etc are 910 a month this year.
Hoping to finish resealing my living room pond this week. eventually I want to redo my drippini. The original owner fired and made the wall tiles in my drippini, but they are super dark brown. Feels like I am in a dungeon.

electrician came through yesterday to fix some stuff, and in my bedroom I have 6 outlets, of which only 1 works. The dude could NOT figure out why, and it sucks and is probably not going to be a cheap fix.

We bought a foreclosure in STL last June which wasn't as painful as I've heard it could be. We got a great deal, 2 Acres with inground pool, ~3000 sqft house 20 minutes from downtown but have had to make a lot of improvements.
Does anyone else use Habitat for Humanity for stuff? We found a full kitchen cabinet set including an island for ~$300 and it looks great.

$700? Jesus, and I thought our $1000 mortgage was cheap as shit. $700/mo mortgage makes me want to die. In the process of buying now and I'll be lucky if the MTG comes in at under $1200/mo w/ taxes and insurance.

Forgot about this thread.
Basement got fixed, but because part of one of the walls leads upstairs, they had to leave it unpainted instead of doing a hard break line. Gotta grab another gallon of paint next week and take care of that before I start putting shit back up.
Rear deck and front steps are getting done now. Can't wait to sit on that bad larry and drink a few beers.

Anyone plant already? Put some tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, peas and melons in. My garden usually produces quite a bit, can't wait!

I have a ring doorbell for the front door, an arlo for the back door and a ring floodlight camera that I have not yet set up. The first two were super easy, synced to my internet and downloaded the apps. Had both of them working within about an hour. I haven’t done the floodlight one yet because it needs to be hardwired into your electric so one of these days I need to get an electrician over. The other two are rechargeable which made them easier to install. Unfortunately they were all a house warming gift from my parents so I don’t know the prices, but they are all worth it I’d say. Clear picture, you can talk to anyone if they come near any camera and the arlo system has a panic button, while not linked to 911, is deafeningly loud and will absolutely scare away anyone trying to break in.

We have a Ring with a doorbell camera and sensors on all accessible windows and doors. If you're going to do it, definitely pay for package that lets you look at missed rings, and old footage. Otherwise that shit isn't saved. I think it's only a few bucks a month.

I've got basil, chives, cilantro, and dill seedling that I started indoors going in this weekend. Probably plant peas and zucchini from seed too. Going to wait another couple weeks before buying tomato plants. I never have good luck from seed on those. Rhubarb is already really big for this time of year and the hops have popped up through the mulch as of this week so I'll need to put up a trellis for those too.

can't take any credit. The original owner, Mr. Blizzard, did it. Apparently my house is known as the Blizzard house.

Yeah I think it’s like $5 MAYBE $10 a month but it saves the videos and youre able to download individual ones forever if you need to.

Would have been real helpful if my WIFE HADN'T LET IT LAPSE WHEN SOMEONE WAS SNOOPING AROUND OUR HOUSE A FEW WEEKS AGO.
I had sensors for the windows in the basement that I hadn't installed yet (laziness, other reasons) but when my neighbor told me that she got their license plate info and called the cops, I immediately wen't down and put em up.

I keep my phone on vibrate only so we usually don't have to worry about that. They both FREAK the fuck out when someone rings the doorbell, so I usually just tell people to walk in and not ring if we know they're coming over.

We have a Ring doorbell and a Ring floodlight in the back yard. Both have given us a lot of peace of mind. We actually were able to provide police video of a person breaking into our neighbor's car, and they caught the guy the next day. Apparently a meth head who would break into 3-4 cars a day to keep up with his habit.

My wife is convinced that we're going to catch someone doing that, and keeps trying to extend the zone to pick up movement. In reality it just means the neighbor's kids set it off, or someone letting their dog shit in my yard.
