I haven't been vegan since the 90's, though I am a vegetarian... Today I had some red pepper slices and dipped it into some humus and had all sorts of flash backs to 1997. You all are saints and I love you.

This is my favorite meal right now. Kung pao takes like 7 minutes in a pan, the Amy's dumplin meal is like 6 minutes in the microwave (have this going while the kung pao is cooking in the pan) and the rice is like 2 minutes in the microwave. Throw all of it on a big ass plate and feast.

I hope to be vegan again eventually. I never quit thinking it was the morally superior choice, I just started to resent it a lot.
Right now Iβm trying to eat as many meat free meals as I am. Any breakfast or dinner I cook from home is vegetarian. Lunches Iβll allow some meat, as well as when I go out to eat.

Like sure you could do your own thing easily enough at home but finding vegan meals while travelling wouldβve been tough, right?

On tour I ever only wanted to go to Chicago so I could eat at soul veg, so i could eat something that tasted amazing at least once every 6 months.

I forgot all about the Vegetarian Plus products! Need to find them again. My fave is their Citrus Spare Ribs. For several Thanksgivings in a row we would get their Whole Turkey, which was this seitan like creation formed like a turkey with legs and crusty skin when baked. It looked freakish but we liked the taste better than Tofurky. Not sure they even make it anymore. Yeah vegetarian plus rocks! We buy a lot from veganessentials and there's a bunch of VP stuff on there. Had those spare ribs one time and they ruled, but the kung pao is one of my favorite things ever. I'm addicted lol.

I was raised Catholic and the guilt is starting to get to me.

edit: been doing purple carrot deliveries with the wife and already getting so much out of it for future cooking. I now make a mean romesco sauce and my caulifllower steaks are siiiick

It worked great when I was off for a week but not while working . I felt like shit . I eat breakfast and even try and have a solid snack @ break time . I feel π― better eating breakfast . Anyway I get a lot of joint pain so Iβve gone to my local vitamin shop to try alternatives to aspirin .Ashe check a shop out and see what they have for energy . Iβve blended raw beets ina a smoothie and damn my energy was insane . I personally need to get back to daily smoothies . You get the right powders & veggies and youβll feel a difference.

I had a noticeable slump after my B12 bottle ran out and got lazy about buying a new one. May just be a placebo effect, but it felt pretty legit.

I found a little hack for the Trader Joeβs orange chickn, if you pop it in an air fryer for a bit it makes it way crispier when you add the sauce. Thatβs probably the case with any faux meat stuff, but it makes a world of difference with this particular product.
I am slowly working back to cutting meat out of my diet. I just wish my family werenβt such picky eaters. Them not liking curry or vegetable pasta or whatever really fucks things up.

Who's got a great seitan recipe? I get the consistency right, but my mix turns out kinda bland. I used this site for my first go at seitan and it turned out suprisingly good. www.86eats.com/I made the corned beef and the buffalo deli turkey. I think the addition of tofu in the recipe gives it a great consistency

yeah i get that from daily vits. imma get on that breakfast smoothie vibe. Been vegan for like 15 years and noticed a big decrease in energy a year and a half ago (in my early 30s). Got on my vitamin shit, and it made a noticeable difference. Find a good vegan D3 supplement (harder to find than D2, but absorbs in the body better or something). I think that, b12, and zinc are key. I also take some other shit (iodine, omega 3, and K), but those are the ones I never skip.

Made some fried chicken for dinner and came out pretty good - just used twice frozen tofu. Coulda been a bit more "stringy" as it came out a little spongey. Happy with the coating though. Had it with corn on the cob and a salad:

Mr. Dingle Foot vomitponxMade the jackfruit carnitas and the mushroom birria you guys recommended, with my wifeβs Cuban black beans. Everything was EXTREMELY good. The friends we had over (euros who donβt know shit about Latin food) said it was one of the best meals theyβd ever had. Iβm not vegan but I might make it again this weekend just because it was so damn delicious. Good lookin out, bros

UK has so many good restaurants, but the grocery stores dont have the top brands. Sick of Quorn Curious what quorn products you're using as most quorn shit that I've picked up has had milk in it so I just go for their vegan fish. Where in the UK are you? Sainsburys sells a bunch of Fry's products, plus a decent assortment of other vegan stuff, or I order online but that's London centric and may not be much use to you.

y'all bay area posters GOTTA try this shit: Stand Up Burgers in Berkeley. my wife brought me home a whole GANG of food from there and... i feel emotionally drained it was so good lol. best vegan burgers i've ever had. i ate too much. i had a O.G. burger, a buffalo chicken sandwich, some onion rings, and some animal fries. the cheese, ranch, special sauce, and thousand island all tasted completely LEGIT. no weird "this is really good but i can tell it's vegan" shit going on here. real boner inducing stuff.
