Marriage Story is VERY good. Not everyone will love it, but the directing and performances are SUPERB And finally, Noah Baumbach has a film with an actual ending. Seconded Jesus, I laughed real hard at the "knife trick" scene...at first anyway and then the ending totally wrecked my tear ducts. |

He's 8 years old and rides in a booster seat
They're constantly picking him up and carrying him around
He can't fucking read, which could be a personal issue for him but I don't remember it being referenced
I'm no expert but pretty sure this is not how most third graders live their lives Honestly man, this could be just how kids are these days hahaha. |

Apple DRM on movies sucks. There's tons of Taiwanese New Wave films on there that I'd like to own a digital copy of rather than just rent. It's a bit of a hassle maneuvering my desktop just to hook it up to my tv. Does anyone use AppleTV? Is it worth it/easy to use? Either that or I could try using DVDFAB to remove the DRM, but that's > 50 bucks for a 2 year subscription.

Just re-watched Light of My Life. Perfect film, and i love how intense the third act is. Maybe the single most realistic and anxiety inducing fight scene i've ever seen. Pretty much every movie Casey Affleck does is great. Guy chooses his roles more wisely than most. Didn't know this movie existed and just looked it up: Is that not just The Road 2: Electric Boogaloo? |

the last scene of Marriage Story and the credits w/ the score over it are so Kramer vs Kramer and all those other family dramas that came later. If I just caught the end on tv without the actors I'd definitely think an 80s movie just ended.
