Not knowing that the East Atlanta Santa was in there going in was an awesome surprise.

Everyone I know loved Spring Breakers but I just didn't feel that movie at all. I am personally not a Harmony Korine fan at all. I get the appeal but for some reason I just don't like those movies. Kids was fine but I hated Gummo and don't love Spring Breakers. Still haven't seen The Beach Bum but mostly because I just assume I won't like it.

Can I get some recommendations on good movie review podcasts or YouTubers? "Does Your Favorite Movie Suck?" is the best podcast, at least for older movies. The title is stupid (which they acknowledge), but imo they have the smartest, most insightful, and most entertaining commentary about film I can think of in podcast form.

Kids is like a neo-con MAW writing a horror movie.

I watched Night of the Juggler, this movie fucking rules. Gritty, sleazy, and packed to the brim with energy. Pre-gentrified NY shit right here. It's hard to find it, but there is a VHS quality rip streaming on YouTube.

Spring Breakers is the only Korine movie I like and I think its pretty great. Top 20 of the decade for me. Unlike anything ever made that truly captures some unbelievable, everyday behavior and mindsets.
The Beach Bum was fine and also funny but a completely different movie.

Can I get some recommendations on good movie review podcasts or YouTubers? as far as YouTube, you cant go wrong with Chris Stuckman. Entertaining, and free from dumb takes. Legit guy who is becoming more and more prominent. Podcasts I go to for actual Reviews for newer movies are In Session Film or the classic Filmspotting.

Uncut Gems was literally breathtaking. God fucking damn. Yo! That dude who played Arno's main thug? Had literally never acted before. Not a single acting credit to his name. Not a short film, nothing. Even Julia Fox had only ever done some like 10-minute short film before that role. And then you have guys like Garnett and Francesa holding their own with Sandler and Lakieth Stanfield? Insane. I pledge allegiance to the Safdie Brothers.

Shawshank, Misery, The Shining, Doctor Sleep, Stand By Me, Pet Sematary (the original - the new one is garbage), The Mist, The Dead Zone, Carrie, It Chapter 1, Delores Clairborne, The Green Mile, Apt Pupil, Gerald's Game, Salem's Lot, The Running Man - All good.
There are bad ones like Sometimes They Come Back, Sleepwalkers etc. that I loved as a kid but they are pretty crappy movies.

They had a "Running Man" house at Halloween Horror Nights a few years back and it was so badass.
