If there can only be one (doesn’t have to be) Mia Goth is the scream queen of the moment by virtue of being more mainstream with West’s trilogy. There’s also Infinity Pool.

I hated X. Dipped out of Pearl halfway through. Skipping MaXXXine. I’m not remotely a fan.
But I think with those three, Suspuria, and Infinity Pool, she’s the highest profile SQ of the moment. Not my choice, but I’d still give it to her.

Also is Justin Long eligible for Scream Queen? Because if he is, that’s my vote. Jeepers Creepers, Barbarian, Tusk, Drag Me to Hell... He's cute and got a pretty good resume. Nothing will surpass the true seven layer depths of hell than working with Ryan Reynolds in Waiting. He's great. |

Pumped to see Longlegs tomorrow. Watched Bikeriders a couple nights ago. Mehhhhh. Woulda been a better series. Kinda wasted talent. But the female lead was great and I definitely wanna see her in more shit

I tried to go into Longlegs knowing next to nothing but I thought it was really just ok. Other than Nic Cage none of the performances really grabbed me at all, and I feel like they never really dug deep enough into the story. Oh well

Sara Paxton is married to Zach Cregger, which is kinda cool too. Also, I read Cregger got 8 figures, so over 10 million, for his next movie. Has that ever happened before, to any filmmaker? I don’t think so. Not even when a director gets drafted up to a big leagues for a Marvel movie (or Twisters) after making a small critical darling does he get that kind of pay, let alone when he gets to direct another of his OWN movies with creative control. |
