Watching the shining at the local indie theater tomorrow, always been top of my list to see on the big screen 😍 35 mm? seeing 2001 a few years back changed my life

Harmony Korine directed a "surreal home invasion thriller" where he uses AI tech to replace people's faces with babies. LOL. Can't wait to read about it when it premieres at Venice Film Festival this year.

Saw Longlegs and really dug the hell out of it. Yeah you gotta suspend more disbelief than is ideal for a serial killer procedural but the atmosphere and sound design were so good that it covered any warts for me.

All Glen Powell worship is hereby suspended. All leading man and all-around entertaining actor affection should now be directed toward Jim Cummings.

Thunder Road is the only digital film I've ever bought. It's a modern masterpiece in my eyes. Same lane of Sean Baker or Adam Bowers navigating so much through the lens of the Gulf Coast setting. One of the realist coolest dudes out there making movies on his terms and they all bang. Absolute must see for all movie dorks.

BBC is turning Boiling Point into a series with the same crew... That movie was perfect. Stephen Graham is phenomenal, absolutely heartbreaking actor. Coming from a chef and hospitality background i thought Boiling point was great. The tv series has been out since October but i still haven’t gotten around to seeing it

Missed the Boiling Point post. Contains all of the anxiety wrapped up in the first couple seasons of The Bear in just 92 minutes. Great movie. Graham is a gem in every way imaginable.

Boiling point series has been on netflix - Stephen Graham is more of a guest star, it's about the other characters (established or new) and their lives after the film

Going up to the Fantasia Film Festival today... not catching a premiere or anything, but got tickets for a screening of Hollywood 90028. Should be cool.

Not watching trailer cuz I pretty much never watch them for something I’m anticipating, but yeah they rock. I remember watching Resolution when it came out and thinking these guys are onto something special. No budget and consistently engaging on almost character interaction alone, which is hard to do for newcomers.

Dont care if I sound like an idiot, but Wolf of Snow Hollow is one of the all time great horror movies. Not a moment wasted. 80 mins—maybe even a few seconds short of that—when credits roll and movie covered a lot of ground.

i really liked longlegs in the theater, but as soon as it was over i was less enthused. good, not great, still fun. 👍 Yeah man by the time the credits rolled I was feeling pretty underwhelmed myself. I didn't know anything about it going in so I didn't have any expectations, until seeing Nic Cage at the opening credits. That got me thinking it'd be a luke warm thriller with a wacky Nic Cage, which it was, but I was hoping for something inventive. How bad of an FBI agent was the main character though? Like a weak throwback to Clarice Starling who's just bad at her job.

Jim Cummings worship continues
Had friends who didn’t dig LSIYC, but I loved it. Did it as a shot and chaser with Laroy, Texas, and I feel like they amplified the hell out of one another. That was a solid Sunday afternoon.
