Normally when I go to Cinemark, trailers are at least 25 mins. However, when I saw Trap today, the trailers were only 16 minutes long.

Finally got back to The Passenger. Strongish start with a pretty engaging/shocking first 15/20 minutes. After that, just loses steam and turns into a mishmash of melodrama, road flick, weak suspense, and unintentional humor.

Just beginning a watch of the 3 hr extended cut of Margaret (2011) now. I’ve had it on my list for a while and I forget how and why it got there and I remember exactly zero about what it is about. Going in blind to a long ass movie rules.
Will report back

I liked Manchester more but I loved the scoring in Margaret, especially it opening and closing with my favorite Segovia piece.

Finally watched The Nightingale. If Jennifer Kent never directs another movie, she already has a hell of a legacy.

Saw One Hour Photo was a part of the photography collection for Criterion Channel and watched it last night while the laundry was running. I still have memories of watching that and Death To Smoochy in theaters as a juvenile because I was a huge Robin William's fan as a kid and being disturbed lol. Movie still holds up with him being genuinely creepy and with some style. It's wild that Mark Romanek only did this and like two other movies giving he did so many classic music videos but I guess not everyone can be like Fincher

The Lady Snowblood sequel was definitely worth watching, but mostly because of the first and last 15 minutes. Not to say that it's bad in any way, but the bulk of the film is very much not Lady Snowblood-centric. It's like they wanted to do more of a Lone-Wolf-and-Cub-style serialized approach, which would have been awesome if they made more movies. I'm about to watch Kill Bill to scratch that itch.

I don't think is a 'Trap' spoiler but just in case: Haley Mills is most well known for being cast in 'The Parent Trap' (1961). In 'Trap' she casts a parent trap. What is wrong with this guy?

This weekend I got to see 'Goodbye, Dragon Inn' & 'Rebels Of The Neon God' with q&a w/ director Tsai Ming-liang and actor Lee Kang-sheng. One of my favorite tidbits was that Tsai "discovered" Lee outside of a 'Wild At Heart' screening. He was just like, "Are you an actor?" (he wasn't) "You should be in my movie." Then they ended up collaborating on every one of Tsai's movies <3
