True Lies definitely loomed larger for me as a kid but now I'll only stop to watch it for the bathroom fight or Paxton being a creep. Was so bummed by how badly the sega genesis game sucked

I don’t see how True Lies in underrated. In my mind, the movie is very popular and even non-movie folks (like my parents) know about it and think it’s good.. Perhaps amongst the younger crowd? Or I am just out of touch.
My pick is L.A. Wars. Maybe not underrated, but underseen. It’s super cheap and not on the level of what is being discussed, but I fucking love it.

True Lies is probably the last truly great Arnold role. i can get behind this. Eraser had its moments, but it just didn't do enough to grab me. Everything after True Lies was family stuff like Jingle All the Way and then stinkers like Eraser and Collateral Damage. |

Everyone name just one movie that’s underrated while not being great. Like “not bad” to “pretty good” but wasn’t well received. The Ice Harvest Definitely one of those “it could’ve been great” movies. But I’ve seen it twice and think a fair amount of it works pretty well. Jade. A Friedkin-directed erotic thriller with Linda Fiorentini and David Caruso? I mean come the fuck on. |
