Darnold is definitely living up to the "shitty Brett Favre" nickname through two games. If he can limit it to one boneheaded interception a game he'll still be the best QB the Jets have had in my lifetime.

We had a big "who has the worst o-line?" debate last season if I remember correctly. I still think we're the worst (any team that starts Ifedi has to be in my apinion), but yeah, there is a huge deficiency in that area across the league.

Houston and Buffalo have pretty bad lines too.
You'd think that'd be every GM's primary focus after they have a franchise QB. The sky is the limit when you've got a good O-line and a QB. Look how good Dak was in 2016 was when that line was elite now that they're banged up he looks average, at best. Same with Andy Dalton before he got hurt in 2015.

I dunno if it's the worst because, yeah, teams like the billz lost 3 starters and just shrugged about it, but it's definitely up there. The root of the problem is that d-1 doesn't develop trench techniques and focuses on spread formation with mobile qbs. The practice squad olinemen come in too raw and don't get enough reps or allowable service time to develop, either. |

Trubisky shows signs, but it's so easy to question what he's doing most of the times. Once you step up on third there you have to at least try an arm punt. Don't run five yards and dive on third and ten.

How many teams have an actual good O-line? 5? Its astonishing that so many teams are willing to spend 100mil on skill positions that likely won't make any difference in helping them make the playoffs, but won't invest in a legitimate offensive line.
