I personally thought the episode was thought-provoking and engaging. How many other shows out there are dealing with the challenges of direct democracy and insider-infiltration? Plus, I thought the ability to overcome spiece bias by both the droids and the 'organics' underlined a deeper engagement of with our world beyond everyday seperation between human/non-human/material beings. Mandalorian truly does reflect the complicated situation we are currently living in. I, for one, hope it continues.

lol I kinda just want to cancel my Disney after Secret Invasion Is something going on behind the scenes where the quality in all of their IP's is just dipping drastically? No idea what's going on. Couldn't give less of a shit about Marvel at this point and Mando is sinking hard. Can't believe that the only beacon of hope in this franchise is a show about CASSIAN ANDOR. Regardless, I'm still going to watch Celebration all weekend and then probably buy tickets as soon as the next one goes on sale if it will be stateside. I hate myself. |

I didn't think it was THAT bad, but casting Lizzo and Jables was not a good idea. Felt like the Christmas special almost; like a one-off TGIF episode or something.

Announcements from today that I've seen so far apart from Ashoka:
The Acolyte, a show set a hundred years before Episode I about some Sith shit, coming next year (we already knew this).
A new movie with Rey as a Jedi Master set fifteen years after the Skywalker Saga is coming out.
A new movie about the beginning of the Jedi is coming out.
A new movie involving the Mandoverse/New Republic is coming out.
Andor season two will be released August of next year.
skellytan Crew, a show starring Jude Law and a bunch of kids, will be coming out next year (we already knew this).

I gotta be honest, I'm kind of stoked to see Rey's story continue a bit mainly just because I was let down a bit by TLJ and ROS although I'll admit I dont hate them as much as others do

The idea of giving that period of time something to do other than mirror the OT is intriguing. Curious to see what direction they go when it comes to what the conflict will be. Put the whole dark side thing on ice for a while. Not necessarily sure I'd want to see something like the Vong either though. I just want to be surprised.
