I wouldn't be surprised by either outcome, which holds pretty true to "split down the middle" projections with Trump taking slight leads, although that's not an unusual trend in polls involving incumbents.
At this point Trump winning shouldn't even be about policy to his supporters, and only his dimmest sycophants are still trying to spend that nickel. It's a popularity contest and last-ditch effort to stay out of prison. Trump's enablers are more than happy to pretend it's NOT solely about staying out of prison, because they've probably been promised the Moon in a second Trump term.
Spoiler: The multiple-time bankruptcy champion with 90+ criminal indictments doesn't like to make good on promises or pay his bills.
Biden losing will have more to do with his soft/too little too late response to Israel and the average persons misunderstanding of the economy than literally anything Trump does. Trump could not wear pants for three months and people would call it "bold" and "unorthodox campaigning." We're through the looking glass at this point, "cofvefe" is a distant memory.

Liked it for the sofia content not the tweet itself.
Anyhow, very pathetic of big university admin to cower before political rhetoric. There isn't shit they can do to appease detractors, calling police to college campuses always backfires, and now they're all going to end up turning in their resignations before the end of the year.

I feel like that's classic social media siloing. You should see how the Fox media ecosphere is spinning the campus protests. Pro-palestine sentiment is not nearly as widespread and popular as social media would have you believe, meaning there's still a lot of work to be done, but it definitely isn't this Biden-killer issue a lot of people on the left think it is, as evidenced by the fact that he's barely softened his position on it. It's still a bigger political hit to not side with Israel. The economy will be the reason he's not reelected, which is obviously the thing the president has the least control over truthfully.

1. I can’t believe how well this has aged 2. I can’t believe how eerily similar killedbyboard sounds like the non-Dave Chappelle / Chris Rock people in this sketch 3. I can’t wait to do it all over again in November

It's not really inconsistent to loathe Biden and decide that it's morally unconscionable to vote for him because of Israel's ethnic cleansing in Gaza, and still come to the conclusion that Trump is dramatically worse. I'm not really sure what values or principles a person could possibly hold and not come to the conclusion that Trump is worse, unless they are existentially committed to stupidity.

2016 was an outlier, I wish people would quit drawing those sorts of comparisons. People didn't understand the Trump machine or how low he was willing to stoop to get things. We had a much better idea in 2020 on the heels of COVID, which is why he lost the popular vote by millions.
We have a much clearer and educated understanding of who/what Trump now is; unfortunately, his followers ALSO have a clearer understanding of what he's comfortable doing on their behalf, or what sorts of social/political norms he's got no issue stomping all over. That's why 2024 will be such an outlier in itself.

I'm not really sure what values or principles a person could possibly hold and not come to the conclusion that Trump is worse, unless they are existentially committed to stupidity. There are entire crops of people who've retcon'd Trump's four years: Charlottesville. No Obamacare replacement after 5+ years. "It'll be gone by Easter" and inject bleach and light into your bloodstream. Nuke the hurricanes. Drawing on weather maps with black sharpies. Civil rights violations with ICE raids. George Floyd protests. January 6th. Literally the entire summer of 2020 felt like society and the world was breaking down. All gone, didn't happen. It's easy to say "let's give the other guy a chance" when you're the sort of person who forgets what they ate for dinner last night and posts on social media like they don't anticipate their thoughts/feelings to ever come back and bite them.

Anyhow, I don't know what the "harm reduction" business is supposed to be...? There's no end to the examples of Trump administration failures. The Trump steel tariffs were sloppily implemented and kickstarted the insane supply chain congestion during the pandemic. That was supposed to be a signature policy shift. Then, the GOP house wasted millions and millions of dollars and months and months of time to deliberately impede infrastructure projects, which means more bridge collapses, dam breaches, and automobile deaths. Again, I'm not really sure what values or principles a person could possibly hold and not come to the conclusion that Trump is worse, unless they are existentially committed to stupidity.

Harm. Reduction. Does. Not. Work. You. Moron. Neither does harm production. Arguments against harm reduction as the better of two current options are asininely academic and self protective without offering a throughway unless you're gunna go get your huey p on

Biden tacit support of a single genocide vs. Trump "hands off" isolationist policies enables more genocides to take place in the future.
Unless you're prepared to discount four years of the Trump "America first" "ew, I'm not shaking hands with Angela Merkel" stuff I dunno how you could say "harm reduction" doesn't work. Like, how do you even quantify that? Lol.
I still love James K tho.

Harm. Reduction. Does. Not. Work. You. Moron. It can spare you from being under the rule of a conservative supermajority on the court of the land for a considerable amount of time. Too little, too late for that one, though.

I'm voting Claudia/Karina in 2024, and there is just about nothing that Democrats can do to ever win my trust back. I held my tongue in 2016, and didn't care anymore after Super Tuesday in 2020. I commend you all who are going to be voting for Biden to be able to stomach it. But I'm not voting for white supremacists anymore. That's it!

Moreso speaking to the fact that Trump got to pick three people on the court who are shooting progress in the kneecaps and will keep him out of prison if it comes down to it.
