Based on the tweets this morning, I'd say there's a good chance Manafort gets pardoned, Trump and his news base are already feeding the "10 counts were dropped and it's all a witch hunt" rhetoric, which will be the reasoning when he eventually pardons him.

I don't know if it really matters. I don't know what could really happen, especially if democrats don't take the senate which is looking like the likely outcome. Hopefully it just sinks his reelection if anything. These people feel totally justified too because Trump has done such a good job of making this out to be some biased charade. You can hear it in the way people talk about anything, like bias is an automatic disqualifier for any apinion or real fact they don't like. It's so bad that having an apinion means you're biased and the only objectivity is apparently being a complete tabula rasa or pro-trump. It's maddening partially in and of itself and partially because it's working.

If they even bother to re-try. He's facing up to 80 years and while most federal sentences run concurrently, it might not be worth the tax payer money to re-try those counts. Especially considering he's facing another entire trial in DC.
