If they even bother to re-try. He's facing up to 80 years and while most federal sentences run concurrently, it might not be worth the tax payer money to re-try those counts. Especially considering he's facing another entire trial in DC. No point on retrying those charges when he is getting pardoned anyways. Can he get pardoned and them start another re-trial after the fact on those 10 counts? can someone be pardoned twice? Thatd be fucking great if he gets pardoned and then fucked again haha |

Thatd be fucking great if he gets pardoned and then fucked again haha The presidential pardon works per charge, so anything he is convicted for can be pardoned. I'm not sure how much time the feds have to retry him on those other charges, I know the judge requested the feds to tell him if they plan to or not soon. Don't know if that means they can choose to not retry him and then try him in 7 more years or what |

Like is definitely and intentionally the wrong word. I’m aware that people really, really love to hate him in the board politics threads, so I’m being obnoxious more than anything. There’s plenty of shit I despise about McCain and plenty I could go in about. But I do have a modicum of respect for him, of which, hasn’t a thing to do with his voting record or his service. And maybe it’s just because he was dying and without a thing to lose, but I appreciate how much he could really rustle Trump’s jimmies for the past year. |

Ive always respected McCain as a fellow vet who's actually been there and done that unlike almost every other Nam era politician.
I just wrote and deleted a couple sentences about him. Dude was a big time hawk which makes no goddamn sense given his experience and his sons (enlisted marines) experience. I used to hold really strong oppinions about this dude but the more i think about it he probably was a huge piece of shit. Megan McCain fucking sucks.
