Phone call after phone call on CSPAN of rape and sexual assault victims telling their stories. This is so fuckin depressing. A number of them also seem to not believe Ford and downplay their own assaults, so she should be doing the same.


What the hell do we do to address this? Getting other men to cop to their toxic behavior and beliefs is hard enough as it is. We have the victims doing it too.

Also these types of calls seem to be mostly middle aged women. 

One: "I was raped when I was a juvenile. You shouldnt just let one thing ruin a man's life when hes under 18, or 20, or whenever."

Another: "I was beaten and nearly raped by 3 men until a motorist stopped and chased them off. I wasnt actually raped so I dont feel traumatized, but Ford wasnt either"-----translation: I got over it (but didnt really), so you should get over it.

What those people are missing though is that she did get over it, for the most part, and became a success story. They think she dug this up to deal with her feelings and not to stop a villain from joining the SCOTUS.

Didn't see the hearing, but from what I just read it sounds like she did her thing in there. Unbelievable to me that it's even necessary. Anyone who's been to a school before would know it's obvious these guys did this and probably far worse.

Him trying to double down on Christian values and his virginity is so laughable... especially given his main character witness from that era, Mark Judge, literally wrote a book about getting wasted and chasing girls at Georgetown Prep and included a character named "Bart O'Kavanaugh" in it!

It's sort of stunning how a black president and the concept of identity politics on the internet broke a third of this country's brains. The gop has been a little thin on actual beliefs and concepts for my lifetime, but yeah, they've full bore embraced toxic and purposefully detrimental concepts/policies in an effort to make sure everyone fails.
