Yeah, I haven’t worked on any of the more port infrastructure-focused projects my organizations have taken on, just labor, environmental CAAP stuff, and that sorta thing. The big thing goin on right now in that area is the possible enforcement of the indirect source rule. Gonna take some of the courses offered just cuz I could for $free or a steep discount. |

I used to do EHS inspections for the various UPRR yards in the LA Metro and they’re all I’m pretty terrible shape and are manned by skellytan crews. PHL is doing better but they handle a much smaller fraction of cargo.

I used to do EHS inspections for the various UPRR yards in the LA Metro and they’re all I’m pretty terrible shape and are manned by skellytan crews. PHL is doing better but they handle a much smaller fraction of cargo. Word. There’s some on-dock rail development on the horizon and supposedly some hydrogen applications, but I don’t know much aside from the initial announcement (other than offhand comments from meetings and stuff). |

As much as I'd like to blame PSR my time on the yards indicated something like twen'ty years of neglect in some cases. PSR seems to be accelerating these issues but they were in a bad spot before it was implemented.
