Yeah, he is right and obviously we all know that, but it doesn’t matter, because she already said it and truth doesn’t matter anymore. This is the cold reality in which we live. You can't reason or argue with the type of people who vote against their own best interests out of spite. Voted early today. There’s an election site across the street from work, so that rules. i'm a mail-in voter but since my polling place is literally right across the street i usually just drop it off day of. honestly blessed that it's so convenient for me to vote. place has never been packed and every time i go in there's more volunteers than voters. probably doesnt hurt that i live in a town of under 3k people. |

as a Hispanic immigrant witnessing all of this unfold, you simply can not tell me that this isn't about "race" I will honestly not allow anyone to say that regardless of who they are or where I'm at, I will straight up correct people because this is 100% about Americans not even recognizing us Hispanics/latinxs as human beings. These types of discussions have led to some very uncomfortable moments in my personal life and even though I'm a leftist, I will not hesitate to call out my black friends when they're having ignorant and racist beliefs on Hispanics "stealing" the spotlight from BLM movements and how those issues are "secondary" to American issues, or when my white friends try to spew some Reuters article about crime and immigration and I will flip my shit when people bring up the possibility of terrorism coming from Mexico despite Mexico having ZERO cases of extremist Islamic groups operating in their borders, meanwhile Canada has had their share of terrorist activity but no, white people see Sicario 2 and they automatically think that the movie represents scenarios based on factual events rather than some xenophobic Hollywood cash grab.
Sorry, it's been a shitty few weeks, months, etc.
