All I will say is whether he is the nominee or not, there will surely be fishy shit going on at the polls. #realconspiracyhours Predictable way to squirm out of the bet

If Bernie doesn't get nominated it will be more due to institutional obstacles than lack of popular support imo. That's my primary point here.

I get the attempt to have realistic expectations. Let's just be real and accept the Democratic party fucking sucks. Yeah, no shit Bernie has a tough chance. It's hard to win the nomination on a working class platform when this opposition party entire core base isn't even effected by majority of Trump policies and just want to go back to sleep like they did for 8 years under Obama.
The biggest complaint I hear about Bernie from Democrats is that he isn't a Democrat... What the fuck do you even stand for? If his platform isn't the baseline for an opposition, what is?
Put on CNN now and listen to Tom Perez and tell me what this party even stands for... It's embarrassing and whoever gets the nomination will probably beat Trump. Things won't get better though... They'll be exactly like the ineffectual Obama years as the right crops up another ghoul to harness the malaise and anger of a dying world. The Democrats will clutch their pearls as their supposed core constituency takes the brunt.
Zoomers, save us.

Disagree with literally zero of this, thank you for actually getting my point edit: listening to Tom Perez, chuckling

It's just goofball posting, posturing like everyone knows something we don't already understand.
It's exactly this dumb ass 538/Ezra Klein reader demographic of Martin Princes who go "Hmm, well actually.." instead of just backing, organizing and supporting a candidate whose policies you believe in.

No, I'm just emphasizing the point we all learned from Trump's election which is to hold polling up as some monolith is an error. Couple that with the fact that status quo politicians have been driving out constituencies for a long time, an argument about "break out potential" and explicitly favoring someone like Biden comes off a bit foolish.

I'd be perfectly happy to vote for Sanders. But Sanders winning the nom OR one of the lower tier candidates having a "break out" would both be black swan events imo. Obviously polling can at best suggest probability, it can't predict the future. However people saying pollsters were "wrong" when they had Trump at a ~30% chance of winning is also a bit foolish.

Mayor Pete tried to shit on Bernie's contributions coming from individuals. Ignoring that Bernie has wildly out fundraised him.

Maybe I just don't see the reason to analyze the polling so much pertaining to my own vote, I just go and vote. It's practically a sham anyway.

I think my guy felt "I'm gay, they have to love me" and banked on liberal guilt. Ignoring that's he's just another neolib latched on to corporate interests.

I happen to like the horserace aspect of elections, regardless of whether my candidate(s) are winning or not, but I'm a White Sox fan so I'm inured to disappointment.
