I would personally like to read that script, narkknifer. The movie begins with a close-up of a pack of cigarettes lying on the side of the road. A scruffy looking dog with a bandana around its neck sniffs at the pack before picking it up in its mouth and trotting off screen. Cut to a shot of a dilapidated house on the outskirts of a small town. The dog, now revealed to be named "Smokey," peers through the window at a teenage girl, who is sitting at her desk, staring at a Smiths poster on the wall. The girl, named Samantha, is autistic and often has difficulty communicating and interacting with others. She is also a huge fan of The Smiths, and the poster serves as a source of comfort and familiarity for her. Smokey, who can talk but has trouble being understood by humans, begins to watch Samantha from outside her window. He becomes fascinated by her love for The Smiths and her struggles with autism. One day, Smokey manages to sneak into Samantha's room through the window. She is initially scared by the talking dog, but Smokey quickly wins her over with his playful and caring demeanor. The two quickly become friends, and Smokey becomes a confidant for Samantha. She confides in him about her difficult home life, telling him about her alcoholic father who often abuses her and her mother. Smokey, who has lived a rough life on the streets and has no attachment to any specific place, comes up with a plan to help Samantha escape her miserable situation. He convinces her to hitchhike with him to Los Angeles, where they can start a new life together. Samantha is hesitant at first, but Smokey's persuasive words and her desire to escape her current situation ultimately win her over. She packs a small bag and sneaks out of the house with Smokey. The two begin their journey across the country, hitchhiking from one town to the next. They encounter a variety of colorful characters along the way, including a kind trucker who gives them a ride and a group of hippies who teach them about the joys of freedom and living in the moment. As they travel, Smokey and Samantha grow closer and begin to rely on each other for support and companionship. Smokey, who has never had a true friend before, is touched by Samantha's kindness and bravery. Eventually, after many adventures and close calls, Smokey and Samantha reach Los Angeles. They are awestruck by the city's bright lights and bustling energy. They decide to make a home for themselves in a small, run-down apartment on the outskirts of the city. Smokey gets a job as a mascot for a local cigarette company, and Samantha begins to explore her love for music and finds solace in the city's vibrant punk rock scene. Despite the challenges they face, Smokey and Samantha are happy to have found each other and to be living in a place where they can be free to be themselves. The movie ends with a montage of scenes showing Smokey and Samantha enjoying their new life in Los Angeles, set to a Smiths song. Smokey is shown happily puffing on a cigarette, while Samantha smiles and sings along. As the credits roll, a message appears on screen urging viewers to support autism awareness and to help those in need. |

I once had some random guy tell me I couldn't smoke on a bar patio, even though he wasn't an employee and said he smokes himself. One of the most bitchmade things I've ever experienced.

I smoke on patios all the time. Usually only on my patio and usually pork butt but sometimes ribs too haha

As a former pack a day smoker for 15 years, I fully support patio smoking. I came to terms with bars/pool halls banning indoor smoking down here in 2016, but if I’m ten beers deep I was never going to walk across the street for a dart. If you’re outside, you gotta deal with the elements.

Anyone following the scootsdale water thing? It’s hard to really get what’s going on based on the news stories about it, but it sounds like some dumbass built a subdivision in a desert with a looming water crisis and expected scootsdale to provide water for them. The mayor just stopped allowing them to use their water facilities and now they’re all acting like this is some injustice. Hard to have a ton of sympathy for people who moved to a desert during a water crisis.
