What is it? Because I see way more of Biden’s attention being focused on Ukraine than Jackson or Flint. Or an archaic American infrastructure in general. I agree here, but there's always the issue with optics and stupid people. I've seen this train derailment called "the worst environmental disaster in US history" which is absolutely absurd. But this is the kind of shit that gets repeated and festers. I'm sure you've seen all the (either legitimate or just fabricated to use as a politcal tool) people complaining about how x or y government person or body (usually someone who isn't in charge of such a thing of course) is doing nothing etc etc. I think even if Biden had still followed protocol and let the people whose job it is do their job, showing up on day 1 or so and made some statements about putting government resources to work would've been a good move. People don't care about reality. |
