i still dont get what the maine secretary of state was trying to accomplish. i read her reasoning where shes like "if someone is underage theyre ineligible to be on the ballot" trying to draw a corollary to someone convicted of insurrection being ineligible but he wasnt convicted of any crime.
this all reeks of desperation, like if they cant beat him, dq him.

also saw a CNN lawyer try to justify it by saying the clause lacked ONLY in the "but congress..." meaning other government officials not congress could rule on this matter thus reminding me how much i fucking hate constitutional law. bunch of motherfuckers looking for technicalities / loopholes in the text and going AH HA at each other. we're a failed state.

that's not true at all. 99.9% of all hasidim are very pro israel. there are hasidic jews living in israel (second most in the world outside of the US) and even fighting in the IDF. there's only one very and i mean very small sect of hasidim that is anti israel. most hasidim don't even recognize them.
