The "South Korea should outlaw dog consumption" resolution was a favorite of mine when I taught/coached debate there because absolutely none of the kids wanted to argue for it continuing to be legal.

damn i just looked up the history of dog eating in china and south korea and i am traumatized now i've watched so many brutal snuff videos and nothing compares to the dog abuse videos from china. saw one where they literally skinned a dog alive then put a flamethrower to its face while it helplessly dangled from a rope. nah no good. |

the synagogue wanted to expand which they weren't allowed to do so a bunch of the crazed students wen't through the abandoned mikvah to the closed off area of the synagogue (the part that was going to be expanded) and wouldn't come out so NYPD was called to arrest them.

I don't think China is going to fuck things up just yet. I don't really have an accurate read on their domestic situation, but I think they know they're in a really good position just sitting back and letting the other "world players" constantly meddling with each other.
Every time there's instability in the middle east, some rebel group in Africa whatever, China just kinda gets to sit back and watch everyone else make mistakes. It's an interesting and powerful position to be in, and I'd think anyone with a brain would not want to screw that up.

They’re making a ton of money off idiotic Americans who have a comfortable lifestyle thanks to our government borrowing a shitload of money from them and other countries to prop up that lifestyle. For all the homeless and whatever other problems the US has we still have more consumers than most, and some of the dumbest and most comfortable on the planet. And everyone knows retail therapy is a thing, so the idea of China trying to take over the US and be responsible for or lose those deadasses as customers just seems stupid. |
