Is that from their national? The didn't choose to organize with them simply because PSL was more active in my area and generally has a younger and more diverse membership base in my area, but that youtuber Second Thought organizes with CPUSA and I used to listen to the podcast he does with Yugopnik and Dr. Hakim(two other Marxist social media personalities) and they would always make fun of Jackson Hinkle and all the MAGA communists lol.
Yeah, during 2021 and early 2022 they had a lot of christian nationalists at their events and they definitely retweeted some of those accounts on their national profiles. I really like Yugopnik's solo material, and Second Thought's intro to socialism videos are the first thing I send to co-workers or family when they ask about my politics. I don't listen to podcasts anymore. I love being uninformed, it rocks. Yo muj, are the PSL turnouts in your area still strong? Yeah hugely, but NJ is a hotbed for radical activity, so it's kind of easy.
A lot of our newer comrades came from the loose coalition that was built around the George Floyd demonstrations and then that rolled into election 2020 with Bernie supporters and whatnot. We took what we built unorganized and brought it to the table.
On Saturday we sent 20 buses from NJ down to DC to join the larger rally to the Whitehouse to call for a ceasefire. We are all members of the communities we organize in, and as such, we were the ONLY non-Muslim group that was invited to co-organize the rally because we've organized with Muslim groups in the past. Which is a huge honor because NJ has the largest Palestinian population in the US outside of Michigan.
We have like 4 events this upcoming week, 2 of which I am attending/helping run. It wen't from "oh wow we're super active, we have events every week," to like "oh shit we have events literally every single day this week, and sometimes multiple events that overlap on the same day".
That's here in New Jersey though. We have a lot of important things going on here. In my city New Brunswick alone, I organized a response and support for the largest educators' strike in human history, here at Rutgers University. I also organized support for the nurses' union at RWJ(largest hospital system in the state - founded by one of the sons of the Johnson & Johnson family) and helped them bring city officials and officers of the hospital system itself to DC to be indicted by Bernie because he looked into the financials and shit and found tons of fraud and bad accounting on their part.
I only chose PSL because it's the largest and most active org in my area. There are problems of course. What communist organizations need is people who have the gift of the gab, people who can have conversations with people who they disagree with on fundamental things, and just generally people who come off as 'cool' to act as spokespersons. Because some of the greatest organizers I've ever met in ANY organization are sometimes just very.... off-putting lol.
I think it's less important to learn the tenets of Marxism or Marxism-Leninism or Maoism or what have you than it is to just join an organization and contribute to the work of an organization. PSL has candidacy classes which teach you everything you need to know, and the excerpts are all awesome. One of the first essays I read as part of my candidacy classes was by Amilcar Cabral, who is now one of my favorite theorists and radicals.
I think that's what sets apart their party program from other orgs that I've worked with, like DSA for example. PSL doesn't assume that you have read everything yet, and that's fine. They are at the forefront and present at every single issue that has been important to me at least.
The yellow signs you see at every rally in NYC and Philly and NJ are all PSL. We don't take credit for a lot of our work because of the nature of what we do, but we do have a lot of "coalitions" that are essentially just more PC ways of presenting a socialist agenda in the real world. I remember seeing these signs at Occupy, I remember seeing these signs at BLM rallies in 2013, and I remember seeing these signs at all the Iraq War rallies I wen't to in 2003 with my late father. And to be honest, realizing that PSL was behind them was another huge reason that I joined.

those candidacy classes sound cool. It’s great to see this sort of thing pick up again since the fall of the Soviet Union and the US left being totally owned. We used to have Marxist schools in NYC and red summer camps up the Hudson valley for workers and party members. We gotta get this shit back baby!!!!!

Speaking of voting, educating, agitating, and organizing....just dropping the link to my party's 2024 presidential campaign:
Vote for Claudia De La Cruz and Karina Garcia for president/vice president!
votesocialist2024.com/Check out their platform, it's a firmly socialist front-and-center platform based on our party program. I have met Karina herself at some of my candidacy classes and she taught me a lot about Marxism and how the cultural superstructure maintains the mode of production. Last time we were only on the ballot in 16 states. This time we're already on the ballot in 30 states and the rest are on their way. If you're tired of the lip service we get from the Democrats and of all the general right wing policy that dictates every aspect of our lives, I implore you all to check it out. We need volunteers to work on the campaign as well, so if you are in an area with an active PSL chapter, please feel free to reach out so I can get you in contact with the right people! Fuck wouldn’t mind educating organising and agitating those two

Majority of Israelis favor voluntary relocation of Gazans to other countries: pollAccording to a poll presented at the conference, in the wake of the October 7 massacre, an overwhelming majority (74%) also said they were against a two-state solution; 20% were in favor, and 6% had no apinion. The poll, conducted by Direct Polls Ltd. for the Sovereignty Movement a day ahead of the conference, also asked: “Are you for or against voluntary transfer emigration of the residents of the Gaza Strip to other countries?” A clear majority – 76% – responded in favor; 16% were against, and 8% had no apinion. Surprisingly, center-left voters from the Yesh Atid and National Unity parties, headed by Opposition leader Yair Lapid and Minister Benny Gantz respectively, responded similarly regarding the issue. Among the Yesh Atid voters, 61% were in favor of the emigration, 24% were against, and 15% had no apinion. Among those who voted for Gantz’s party, 71% were in favor, 18% were against, and 11% had no apinion. www.jpost.com/israel-hamas-war/article-782190

Party line has been that america doesn't see race or economics. You can be a pocican or pociwon't, but it's always a personal choice. (Unless you're racist and want to make this about race)

Trump came out and said the civil war was about slavery (bold move). As a Republican moron with no context of history the correct answer was “yeah and democrats gave you the kkk, internment camps, and were anti civil rights, we gave you Lincoln”
Plz Ignore Republicans who still call it the war of northern aggression.
Then when you campaign down south you can do whatever again.
