My mother literally enlisted to fight for the Turks in the invasion of Cyprus and didn’t go cause the recruiter served with my grandfather who had him pull her papers. Like… very intense upbringing about the Turkish Republic. She still rises for the anthem at home when it comes on tv.

A post comparing the IDF to Nazis is so wild and shows people really gotta brush up on their history. Does the IDF commit crimes against humanity daily and violently upholds an apartheid regime? Unquestionably, but they aren't marching people to the fucking gas chambers yet. Russia, and pretty much every occupying army, are doing the exact same things as the IDF do whenever they enter a village, which is rape the young women and loot peoples homes. This is why war is fucking horrible, but it doesn't mean we can go around throwing lazy comparisons now. they’ve killed more people in 6 months than all of the people who died in the Bosnian war This isn't the fucking Olympics dude. |
