Everyone hates the diesel trucks but no one has problem with free two-day shipping. Anyhow, I mistakenly quote-tweeted the person from Liturgy and I’m being bombarded by self-aggrandizing failed grad school aspirants from NYC. So, actually, fuck congestion pricing. NYC doesn’t deserve federal grant match money for its transit system I took a quick look at the Liturgy twitter last night and apparently she has gone full on trad Catholic? I could not decipher any of it, seemed mad boring but people were getting upset about it. It’s just LARPing. As some dude I know put it, “who would have thought that a coalition held together solely by their seething hatred of normal people could be so bafflingly stupid?”

It’s strategically deploying in-group lingo that doesn’t actually mean much when you parse it. I should move to NYC. I could rule over these people within a month.
right off the dome check it out:
The dysfunction of the modern bureaucratic state comes down to the endless deferment of the embrace of its own eschatology — the dialectical progression of Schellerian barbarism. The only intervention left to us is embracing the Abrahamic as substance and subject.

dimes square is this place in les (named after a restaurant called dimes) that skaters hung out at like 10 years ago but all the fashion dork undesirables invaded cause they want to be seen near cool kids (they did this to fanelli's too) but now its just them squawking at each other about what they think is cool (while actually three steps behind what's cool) because they're in this place that hasn't been cool for years.
imagine if "its so over" was a real place you could actually go to.

he Biden administration is also requiring PLAs on more than $270 billion worth of federal agency grants for private and state and local government infrastructure projects. Is this good? Is this bad? I don't know!! good.

GOP is parading one of four black people affiliated with their party on TV lately. He was on CNN last night making the claim that black families had a deeper sense of "togetherness" during Jim Crow. When confronted, he claimed he didn't say African American people were better off during Jim Crow and resented the implication, "fake news" lib spin, etc.
Great, fine, whatever... BUT WTF DO YOU THINK DROVE THOSE BLACK FAMILIES INTO A DEEPER SENSE OF TOGETHERNESS?
He then crapped all over LBJ and claimed progress spearheaded for Civil Rights actually caused problems for black families.
Absolutely shameful.

All that "civil rights hurt black families" shit is basically just thinly veiled misogyny and homophobia.

Sure is making everything cost a LOT with or without the PLAs, the cost will be the same. the workers just get less, and the money leaves the state

The problem with “labor aristocracy” theory is that there’s about 100 completely different ones and nobody is interested in talking about the same one. Either it’s a strata of organized workers (ie the trade union bureaucracy), comparatively highly paid workers (nationally), or comparatively highly paid workers (within the global division of labor). All of these things objectively exist, the first two in every country. Anyways, it’s undeniable that periphery countries are net exporters of labor hours, that there is a global hierarchy of nation-states, and countries that are net importers of labor hours are able to have their wc consume commodities at below their value, serving as a way that the class is partially “bought off” by the exploitation of labor from the periphery. But class divisions also exist within every country, and periphery countries can produce cross-class national loyalty based on the project of raising a nation’s standing in the global hierarchy. The project is thus to unite the working class internationally across these divides and break its national loyalties.

Depending on the sector there’s also a workforce shortage, and most of the workforce isn’t unionized (and there are requirements that basically necessitate union participation in the bill).
And there absolutely is nimbyism and if you say there isn’t you are just simply wrong.
