I’d say despair is warranted. But at the end of four years, we may see another swing when Trump’s idiocy, and likely awful economic results, are apparent. This is probably a greater indictment of the public than attitudes basically not changing over that span. “We’ll shit, looks like we did it again. Oh well.”
