Planning a trip to Ireland in September with my sister. Open to all recommendations. Reiterating other posts, I lucked into an opportunity to do the Ring of Kerry and no hyperbole (okay maybe a lil) it was beautiful and breathtaking beyond compare. Will give you clear understanding of why its called the Emerald Isle and how all the mythmaking / fantastical stuff originated. Cork was my fave city (Dublin / Galway). Enjoyed how each city was split perfectly by a river, easy to centralize yourself (I do tons of walking). Dublin's sense of modern history (1800-now) is palpable but Galway and Cork are also old as hell and contain awesome historical aspects. There are lots of days trips, Blarney Castle is busy but well worth a long afternoon. Moher Cliffs are dope. Trinity College was my favorite "place". I spent a few afternoons leisuring on the lawn hehe.
I just bought tix for Ireland cause they were cheap as heck. All this info is perfect!!

Anyone been to Sao Paulo and Montevideo? Looks like I'm going down to South America for the first time in September. I'm visiting Curitiba and Belo Horizonte in Brazil as well, but I'll have friends to show me around there.
All I really know with Sao Paulo is to check out the museums and Liberdade, I'll probably go to some football matches too.. But don't know much about Montevideo. Can't wait to eat all the food either way.

Montevideo is alright--not a ton going on there. It's known for being kinda sleepy, laidback. Most people recommended that I go to Punta del Este instead.
Eat a chivito and count how many people walk around with a yerba mate fanny pack

For my birthday my parents are paying for me to go to my cousins law school graduation at the university of Illinois. Gonna try to take a dump in (or on) the American Football house.

the advice i got from someone that lived in barcelona was avoid las ramblas at all costs and don’t eat anywhere with an english menu or white people eating at. kinda no brainers, but definitely good advice.

Global entry and TSA pre are so useless now (other than the shoes), just get CLEAR and you can travel w minors for free. We've got both GE and CLEAR, which is kinda good to have in Denver since there's a line for people with both. We have 2 international trips coming up in the next few months, and GE will be nice to clear customs on return quickly.

We are hoping in July to do two weeks in Europe, flying into Madrid or Barcelona and heading to Titaly to link up with fam and friends in the Motherland. Just need to decide what to see and what to skip over the 14 days we will be there.

How much pause (if any) does all this Boeing stuff give board folks who travel/fly often?

I have a flight to San Francisco coming up in a few weeks and last night I checked to see what kind of plane it is. It’s not a Boeing which I was glad to see but I doubt I would have done anything if it had been tbh.

I have a flight in/out of Portland in June but outside of that, I don't have any other flights planned. Ideally, the Boeing stuff shakes out with the executive board getting booted and the entire company getting nationalized (which won't happen) but I'm sure nothing significant happens.

Just bought my airfare for Netherlands/Belgium in July. Had a friend move there recently, so headed there to visit him and explore. I wen't to Belgium when I was 18 and never been to the Netherlands, kind of avoided it because it always seemed like a tourist hellscape but hoping to get out to some of the shit outside of Amsterdam and will check out Rotterdam. Belgium wise gonna stop in Brussels and Antwerp, might do Bruges depending on scheduling.
Should note: I'm going with my wife otherwise I'd go check out some WWII grounds and stuff like Market Garden but I don't think I can trick her into that.

Just got back from France a couple weeks ago. Had a great time with the fam! Initially was going to hit Northern Spain like many had suggested but just didn't have the time (thanks for the rec's anyways, next trip we're aiming for Spain). Underestimated how difficult it would be to travel with a 9 month old and how big France actually is.
We ended up doing Paris-Colmar-Beaune-Avignon-French Riviera-Lyon as our main stops. We rented a car and did some day trips/cruising around which was great! Didn't have France on my travel list at all but ended up really enjoying it.

I liked Bruges a lot. Felt it was worth it even with the touristy aspects. For a spot with similar vibes but less of the touristy stuff Haarlem is pretty great, and really easy to get to from Amsterdam. Have heard mixed reviews on Brussels. People seem to like Ghent but I’ve never been.

I hated Rotterdam for the limited time I was there (which was cold and rainy, so it probably didn’t get a fair shake). Is there cool shit there?
