I definitely did a half assed job trimming my plants before hanging them up. I'll probably try to manicure the buds a little before I start curing them this weekend but I'm okay with it being a little shaggy. oh wait, nevermind, i see your problem Yeah I trimmed everything better last night and everything is looking a lot dryer already, by tomorrow I’m hoping to get it in jars |

oh wait, nevermind, i see your problem Yeah I trimmed everything better last night and everything is looking a lot dryer already, by tomorrow I’m hoping to get it in jars most of the water weight is being held in those big fan leaves w stalks 1" or longer. there are typically 4-5 per forearm length of branch. usually red stalks. get those off. cut your branches smaller, make sure theyre placed evenly. uniformity will help speed your drying |

I'm pretty proud of myself for a first time grower who had nothing but youtube to guide me. I don't own a scale but just eyeballing it I'd say I yielded anywhere from 6-8 oz off three little plants. This stuff tastes and smells amazing after only a couple days of curing, I can't wait to see how it is after a few weeks.  |

maybe I just stopped paying attention but I feel like dabs have really fallen out of favor in new york. it was all the rage a few years ago but at this point anybody I know just smokes flower and eats edibles, maybe an occasional vape cartridge. I just always thought the process was too involved and didn't like paying the inflated east coast prices for concentrates, I'm assuming most people here feel the same way.

yeah you guys have a lot of "hot dog water" type shit going on over there so i can understand.
i can go to a reserve and get fse for around 35 cad a gram.
hash rosin is a whole nother story though, that shit can be around 120-160 a gram.

Do yourself a favor and get a real dehumidifier. Your mold is almost guaranteed happening before the point that you're harvesting. Might want to totally sanitize your area before another run Ensure there's no standing water, etc If you have decent density on your branches, spread the nugs out when chopping things down Really, moderating your humidity is going to be your key. And that's hard af to do w/o a legit dehumidifier |

next summer i will def built a real canopy/roofed greenhouse setup.
really it was the massive amounts of rain leading up to the days before harvesting that fucked up a couple of the plants.

the plants I had at my parent's place where picked up and moved inside (into their dining room lol) every time it rained by either me or my dad. by the time they were ready to harvest it became a real project. If I do it again I would also consider some sort of homemade green house situation.

I did my outdoor grow like any other plants this year. If it rained, it got watered. Probably lucked out because it was a really wet spring and really dry summer. I did deal with one big heavy rainstorm only a few weeks before harvest that made me a little nervous, but everything dried out nicely post-rain and I didn't have any trouble with mold.
