I mean sure Asayish could be considered a police force, but their structure is completely different to say the KGB or Stasi. Their ultimate goal is to have all citizens trained so it can be disbanded anyways.

I would probably support the police under a workers' state.... Or I might convert to being more of an anarcho syndicalist or whatever. Pointless in ruminating on now though - we have a bourgeois state and bourgeois police, and there is no world where they will ever work on our behalf.

I mean you just need to look at any communist state of the last 100 years to know that the police is used as a means to control the masses and enforce power. Like this is the thing that will never sell me on communism. We're supposed to be dreaming of a better world here and breaking down structures... Not reusing dated theories that will likely just end up creating a new ruling class. |
