I've been getting reacquainted with the Bush albums recently and there's so much to it that I missed out on when listening before. |

So I stopped by a flea market yesterday and there were a few tables selling records. I havent been anywhere selling used records in a few years so maybe it's just me but I noticed that even beat up old copies of shit like Billy Joel and Elton john were priced at $15-$20. Things in even decent condition were higher. I realize vinyl is in fashion right now but when did used prices of easy to find records sky rocket like this?

Like someone checks the median price regardless of condition, adds a dollar, and throws it out on their flea market table in direct sunlight in August. Nope! |

A lot of people jack up prices because all it takes is one person who doesn’t know the value of something to make it worth it for them. There’s a guy who sets up at local flea markets and puts 50% off signs on everything while charging $40 for shit.

I’ve noticed jacked up prices irl, on Discogs and eBay. I’m thinking it really is just the rise in popularity combined with pressing plants being completely overwhelmed.
and bm dorks pressing 200 records that are gone from their Bandcamp in 30 seconds flat.

speaking of pressing plants, i have about 15+ records still stuck in preorder purgatory  i mistakenly preordered those windir colored variant represses on amazon back in march, and when i did so the estimated release date was july - i check back recently and now it says november |
