"boss" this is a very common one here in NYC as it's mostly used by pakistani people who run corner stores and/or gas stations. i know they probably don't mean to sound condescending but for some weird reason it always comes across as being such. in india/pakistan/bangladesh the english word boss is very much a sign of respect. likewise my friend and bro (those ones are translated)
now that i'm old enough to get called sir my favorite that's super condescending without necessarily being disrespectful is "young man"

There's a dude I work with who is a larger bodied man that walks around with his forearms up and wrists limp, another coworker calls him Rex Haha I wen't to a school with a rep for βpartyingβ and I ditched out on Thursday night and hung out at WPIβ¦ engineering and math βdweebsβ were way more my style. My friendβs roommate was on another level of brain and when his work was done heβd hole up and video game like a monster. As a result, whenever he stood up his deformed arms from a lifetime of this activity were most obvious. Kind of like a trex after a battle he lost who is high as fuck. Once we got him to leave the campus for the first time in 3y. What a mistake! |

When someone is being angry about something I supposedly did wrong I like to wait until they finish a sentence, then act like I didn't hear and ask them to repeat themselves/totally mischaracterize what they said.

Like 15 years ago I worked with this former Marine, who would react to me doing things by saying "Atta' girl." Y'know, super clever.
I would respond by saying "Oh, yeah, thanks coach."
I dunno if he really picked up on my inference that coaches are dumb jocks and that I thought he was a dumb asshole. He wasn't very smart.
