the super of my building is an odd fella because he'll say my name out loud in his very thick eastern euro accent (ruuuussssseeeellllll!) which makes me think he's low key making fun of me. then when i catch him off guard he'll say "oh! hey champ!" which makes me feel really cool. confusing aura from boris.

I hate this one so much. It's always some young little fuckboy type that says it, and it always feels condescending as fuck. Iβm a 32 year old woman that said βthank you bossβ to the mechanic after he plugged a flat tire for me. I took that word from my dad who says it. When did little fuckboys start using it? I never wouldβve thought it sounded condescending to someone, I thought it was more of a βrespectβ thing. Thatβs atleast how Iβve always heard it where Iβm from (NY/Nj) but I ainβt a man OR a boss so idk I guess cause it's less common around here, and the only people who've adopted it are these younger cocky dudes or some shit. All my experiences with the word have left me kinda miffed lol. I just didn't grow up around it. |
