This project has been a chore the past week…
The Who- Live at Leeds. I like the Who, but can never get into live albums much. Tito Puente- Dance Mania. Reminds me of when I lived in Salem MA and my neighbors would be having the best time of their lives seemingly around the clock. It’s all in Spanish so I don’t understand a single word, but it’s got some good tunes. Tom Waits- Bone Machine. I can’t take this. His voice sounds like a cartoon character singing. The XX- XX. 0 energy, horrid. Moby Grape- self titled. Jesus Christ this project is making me hate music. Bill Evan’s Trio- Sunday at the Village Vanguard. Jazz should be reserved for Sunday mornings. Girls Against Boys- Venus Luxure No. 1 Baby. No thanks.

Love GvsB but that's NOT their best album by far 100% agree with you on Tom Waits, and thank you for being the only other person I know who feels this way

Pretty stellar run since last update:
Prince - 1999. Obviously rocked Paul Revere and the Raiders - Midnight Ride. Also rocked Beach Boys - Pet Sounds. Did not rock, but it seems that's a me problem Tracy Chapman - Self titled. Somehow still rocked despite being folk and today is Sister Sledge - We Are Family. Best Friday jams ever

Respect to a legend but I just can’t do it.

I got the White Stripes - Elephant today and am considering drowning myself in the East River as a more enjoyable option

Pretty rough week:
Cat Stevens - Tea For the Tillerman. I did not hate this as much as James Taylor, which was my assumption going in Johnny Cash - At San Quentin. High point of the week. This rocked Leonard Cohen - Songs of Love and Hate. This guy again! Not as awful as the one from the 80s I got a few weeks ago, but still awful Grateful Dead - American Beauty. I gave this an honest try after a lifetime of hating the Dead mainly because of their fans... It was justified. This does NOT rock and toady is The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots. Still listening to it now. It's something I'd probably never listen to again, and I find some of the experimentation on it to be fun. I don't hate it, but it does not rock (so far, only halfway through)
