Caveat was really good. Figured might as well watch it before Oddity.
oh yeah, thanks for the reminder. I'd seen the trailer for this but I'd forgotten, might check it out.

Gonna co-sign Mubi as well. They’ve got so much good shit you will absolutely never find on another streaming app, if anywhere at all. Also love the interface of the app and how they do a synopsis and a like ‘what we have to say about it’ section. Also if you sign up at an intro like $8/mo and then go to cancel when it jumps they’ll keep you at the lower price. Done this multiple times. I use it ok Roku and it's perfect. One of the best UI's I've seen. Usually immediately cancel free trials so I don't forget and they offered a discounted rate and a free month on top of it. Like I said, library is pretty small but curated with real intent. Also, a neat feature for those in big cities is the $20 tier and get a movie ticket once a week to see something. $5 a ticket to gamble on something that is like 99% going to be good on top of the library to stream.

Every time the Alien Romulus trailer comes on I get so psyched for that zero gravity acid blood scene. That shit is gonna rock. How has that not been done already ?? I didn't want to get excited for this movie but I can't help it. Also, the part in the trailer when they pull the facehugger thing out of the person's mouth/throat? omgggggg. Seems like this will be the most HORROR Alien movie. Hopefully they pull it off.. Really been trying to temper my expectations with this one, but yeah, Same. I’m def stoked

excited for the jared cuckoo review Cuckoo was pretty fucking odd and very cliché, but also very self-aware. There is just so many different influences crammed in here that it works more than it doesn't. I wouldn't consider it frightening, but there was moments that are pretty disorienting. There is some stuff that makes absolutely no sense, but it seems like the director didn't give a fuck and I kinda respect it. The goth soundtrack is fucking sick, though.

Such a genuinely iconic performance. I also love that we have a SECOND Cronenberg that's gonna be making bangers for the next few decades. So blessed. There's a THIRD Cronenberg too, Caitlin Cronenberg, her debut feature, 'Humane', came out this year. (It's not supposed to be good.) HATED this movie. It was lazy ass American identity politics virtue signaling bullshit filtered through like The Purge or some shit. Bad movie.

Trap was a pretty good movie until the final act where there it felt like there were something like 6 endings. Ol' M. Night couldn't help himself. Hartnett is pretty great though, looking forward to what he does next.

Wildly ambitious sci-fi (& other genre) movie recently released. It goes into the unsettling tones of digital era Lynch & Cronenberg with a story more akin to 'Cloud Atlas' (maybe even a little 'Eternal Sunshine...'?) There's a heady nature to the whole affair so don't expect so much of a gut punch than a soupy head of thoughts by the end. Not sure if this movie was *brilliant* because I'm not sure if I fully got it haha

The Lady Snowblood sequel was definitely worth watching, but mostly because of the first and last 15 minutes. Not to say that it's bad in any way, but the bulk of the film is very much not Lady Snowblood-centric. It's like they wanted to do more of a Lone-Wolf-and-Cub-style serialized approach, which would have been awesome if they made more movies. I'm about to watch Kill Bill to scratch that itch. Yea those movies were cool. Gotta find my copies.

Surprised you had Killer Joe higher than 12 Angry Men. Gonna peep it soon after seeing it's free on a few sites.
I've seen most of em. I'm still an Exorcist 3 > OG guy. Wouldn't even put it in my top 10 of his.

I definitely haven’t seen as much Friedkin as I should, but Cruising is one of my favorites of all time

Sorcerer love up in here. One of the all time great thrillers. Like, probably too 10 of all time.
Gonna see Cuckoo in a sec. Will probably like it a lot cuz I like movies unlike you lot of wet blanket motherfuckers denigrating instant classics like Longlegs.

Friedkin Top 3 1. The Exorcist 2. To Live And Die in LA 3. Sorcerer That's it for me... I would maybe flip 2 and 3... Everyone who likes Sorcerer probably already know it's a remake of Le Salaire de la Peur which is a fantastic film... I might be biased since I saw it first, but I actually like it better than Sorcerer. Both excellent.

Friedkin ranked (that I’ve seen) 1. Exorcist (top 5 all time movie for me). 2. Sorcerer. 3. Cruising 4. To live and die in LA 5. French Connection (an undeniably good movie, it just didn’t hit me like the others)
I saw the Hunted a few times on tv (probably on USA or TNT) as a kid and I remember liking it. I think there is a cool knife fight at the end or something?
What are the next Billy Friedkin movies that I should watch.

Sorry if this gets asked in here frequently but I discovered an old disposable camera of mine, probably ten years old and full of photos. Is it toast? Where should I send it to have it all developed?
