Also, I had a discussion about this with my girl : Flashbacks are not dreams Boba. I've never had a dream where I relived situations that have happened to me in the past. At best, a dream would be a distorted version of something that has happened. What if the big reveal of the season is that the dreams didn’t actually happen and everything from Return of the Jedi on was also a dream and now they get to do a whole new ROTJ computering young Mark Hamill’s face onto his current body but this time Darth Vader doesn’t die so Disney can make more content about him and then do a whole new sequel trilogy since people complained about it

I never understood the facilitation with Boba Fett. He was never a key figure until episode 2 and that shit sucked. Is this something people really wanted?? How are they gonna put out two series back to back that are similar (mando and bf) and keep Obi Wan on the back burner???????

Dude has six minutes of screentime and three lines of dialogue across all of the movies. The old Expanded Universe made him more interesting to people like me, but a lot of people project "Wow, that guy must be cool," onto him. I think that people did want something with this character. There was supposedly a movie being worked on years ago that got canned and I think they saw a limited window in which they could use Temuera Morrison as he's already a guy in his sixties playing a guy in his thirties which is a pretty big stretch. I know that the idea of a show excited me personally as I like the bounty hunters and I figured this would show off a seedier side of Star Wars that we haven't seen much in live action. Also, Obi-Wan will most likely be out in the first half of next year, so not too much of a wait. I hope they fucking nail that one for the sake of Ewan and Hayden. They deserve something that isn't dogshit.

Always felt there was more potential for Boba in print, comics etc. He looks like Joe Rogan on screen

No so much. I’ll still watch though.

They were both excellent in ROTS as far as I’m concerned. I think about 90% of the issues with Hayden’s performance in those two movies is a combination of the script and Lucas’ direction. I’m legit stoked to see him back in Star Wars and I too hope they fucking nail it.

Was anyone else thinking that the sand monster was not really "star wars-y" It sounds stupid to say about something in a universe with all these creatures from all of these planets but something about it really doesn't feel like star wars

How about less monsters and more character? And on that, how am I supposed to believe Boba Fett slid into Jabba’s position as planetary crime boss when he’s a limp-dicked, compassionate pushover? Temeura Morrison isn’t charismatic enough too play the lead, either. Ep 1 stinks.

Mainly because in all the tatooine lore I have ever read or seen, that weirdo monster thing has never been mentioned. Most the creatures the Mandelorian have been established within Star Wars lore for decades. And the new ones just felt organic. I hate to do it, but I just can't not compare Boob of Boba Fett to The Mando.

I Hate Robert Rodriguez' style. It always feels like... Cheap (even his mando ep). So the first episode I was apprehensive about the series. Episode 2- I'm all in. Steph Green immediately charts for directing a very fine episode, making RR look like Bold to her Youth of Today.

Second episode was MUCH better than the first. Black Krrsantan was fucking awesome to see in live action and I'm very excited to see where this story goes with the Hutts. I figured there were going to be at least a couple of more flashback segments, which I was not looking forward to, but I enjoyed this one. Boba ending up in a tribe of tusken raiders and being a part of a family that he never had is pretty cool. I figure we'll get more flashbacks next episode and then it will be full steam ahead for the gangster storyline.

The "jj" tagging gang, the pike syndicate train, etc. My guess is he wants to control the crime on Tattooine to keep the Tusken's safe, my guess is that they're going to get nearly wiped out or something. I bet the flashbacks continue

New episode today. I didn't love it. Robert Rodriguez directed this one, same as the first, and I don't really enjoy him as a director.

I’ve tried three times to properly spoiler my response to this on my phone and can’t figure it out (I’m dumb), so I’ll just say, I freaked the fuck out and I’m honestly cool with the series just for that. I just finished the latest book in a certain related series the night before so the stoke was high. Edit: I’m annoyed I can’t figure this out because boy do I wanna chat about it.
