I’ve loved Star Wars since I was 5 and it pains me to say it, but The Last Jedi was a bad movie. Rogue One ruled and I did like Solo and TFA was...pretty ok. I’m just tempering my expectations. I'm sad you didn't like The Last Jedi. My fandom spans a similarly long time and I loved it. |

I like TFA but i guess that is due to the similarity with the original trilogy. I didnt even bother going to the cinema for Solo. I watched it on a long haul flight and fell asleep. I then downloaded it and fell asleep twice before i made it through the whole thing. I now play it when i am having trouble sleeping hahaha |

I said it in a previous thread (or maybe earlier in this one, who knows) but if they produced a Star Wars live action series that kept the original late 70s/early 80s production design and aesthetic, as well as doing everything with practical effects, Disney would have bitter fence-walking original trilogy purists cumming in their pants... myself included.

I'll probably dig it regardless, but there's something about the look of those older movies that I miss. Seems even more marketable nowadays with stuff like Stranger Things and Maniac pushing that early 80s aesthetic/technology in their respective universes. |

VERY good to see Lando (with Chewie) in the Falcon again.
I feel like the title alone is a retcon. TLJ made clear moves away from the Skywalker story and gave us a super underwhelming space chase, a Prequelesque casino planet, and the completely arbitrary death of arguably the most interesting character. It would appear IX will course correct at least one or two of these missteps.
Rey’s lineage matters, Snoke is not really dead (probably been Palpatine the whole time), and the Knights of Ren are relevant and will finally make a proper appearance.
