so a friend of mine posited a very interesting idea that I like a lot. Skywalker doesn't refer to any one person, it's a new class of Force user, a "Skywalker." it's a completion of the Anakin arc. He grew disillusioned with the dispassionate and rigid dogma of the Jedi, and was seduced by the Dark Side which told him to fully embrace and give in to his emotions. then we get Luke, who convinced his father to give in to his positive emotions of love and empathy for Luke to kill the emperor. Luke passes on his own firm of disillusioned dogma to Rey and in a lot of ways, he's right, but he's made a believer again by Yoda. Rey is a new class of force user who isn't afraid of the Dark side and can use/control her emotions in a way that doesnt suppress them, like Anakin, like Luke. She's a "Skywalker." The chosen one's path to bring balance to the force is complete. I legit love that idea.

Sorry to tell you but skywalker is a family name and nothing else.Plus wouldn't that make her an uber jedi with control over the dark and light side of the force?personally I think rian johnson was trying to be like look its not just like empire and just gave us a plot twists that makes the story less interesting. |

Trailer looks good. I have a theory that there's gonna be a force ghost off between sith and jedi. I base that only on the emperors laugh and I think I remember hearing that the dude who played anakin had shot some stuff. I could be totally wrong.
