loving the casting choices so far. This is my takeaway as well. Sabine and Hera are perfect, also little things like keeping Clancy Brown as Ryder are so cool. Lothal and the overall production design are legit superb. Unless they just do something really dumb this is shaping up to be right behind Andor for the best thing on Disney +

I'm not super feeling Ashoka so far. Dialog is stilted and it was sort of boring and formulaic. Like, we really talking bout ANOTHER star map? I'm going to of course keep watching but it's feeling more like Obi Wan than Andor for me.

I have abandoned this franchise. It meant a lot to me as a kid, but everything after Lucas left, minus Rouge One, Andor, and SW Clone Wars animated stuff, has been dog shit.

I mean, technically only the original three were good under Lucas, and he didn't even direct two of em. Lucas was an ideas guy and creative genius who had an eye for merchandising, but his strong suits were never directing or writing dialog. I have lost so much reverence for him over the years. Some of the best parts of Star Wars weren't even his contribution.

It seemed like there’d be these huge pauses before a character responded to something another character said, bugged the hell out of me.

Yeah, dialogue isn't the greatest, but this feels leaps better than Boba Fett and Obi-Wan at least. Didn't ask myself why the fuck I was even watching this after the first two episodes like I was with those shows.

Obi Wan and Boba Fett were unforgivable awful nonsense. This feels like a natural progression from Clone Wars & Rebels and I’m totally on board for it.

The score is really leaning into samurai pic territory on this episode. I’m liking the overall tone and look of this ep as well.

Enjoyed that episode a lot. Hayden looked a lot better this time around than he did during Obi-Wan. Nothing really awkward about his look to me, so maybe they de-aged him lightly this time. The live or die thing is a little shakey to me though. Like, was the whole thing brought on by a near-death experience and the test was to basically reclaim life? Kind of flimsy, but still a cool sequence.

Man. Let out some audible hollers during the world between world scenes. You just know Dave Feloni is having the time of his life rn. Extremely well done and felt natural and appropriate for Ahsoka’s character arc. I’m bummed there’s only 3 episodes left. This just feels like Star Wars, man
Posters who have not seen Clone Wars and/or Rebels, how are you feeling about this show?

I never watched rebels or clone wars prior to this till someone posted a snapshot of all the important episodes you should watch before Ahsoka so that’s what I did. I’d be pretty lost and frustrated if I didn’t do that

Yeah I read a lot of wookieepedia entries for stuff related to Rebels/Clone Wars and stuff so I have a vague idea of what is going on, but this shit clearly is a love letter to the prequels and Clone Wars. So to that extent I'm glad the most vocal and critical fan boys are getting some red meat finally. Definitely finding it mostly boring, primarily from a pacing, dialog, and plot standpoint.
