I do think every Star Wars movie made after 1983 is bad however, so these films are not for me. |

Just got back from Celebration. They showed seven minutes of a Mandalorian episode and it looks so tight. Definitely weird that they haven't given him a name. Not convinced that he's Boba Fett due to the fact that he isn't Temuera Morrison, but I do think we'll see some sort of Fett reveal at some point in the show. They haven't touched the character since Aftermath revealed his armor was spit out by the Sarlacc and it doesn't make sense to say, "Nah, he's dead," to an iconic character that can make them money.
Also to the person that said Skywalker is nothing more than a family name, the second Thrawn book in the current canon says that it is a specific type of force user among the Chiss.

I'm not gonna read a book to understand a film that is just stupid.Its like saying you need to see the cartoon network clone wars to understand star wars. the books are great for really digging into the world building of the SW universe. for example, "many Bothans died to bring us this information" was pretty much a throwaway line, and then Timothy Zahn uses that as a springing off point to create Borsk Fey'lya, a very complicated and layered character who is pretty much Eamon de Valera but a space cat.

It's honestly pretty amazing how fucked the Star Wars canon is now because of Rian Johnson. it's almost as if he was an industry saboteur sent in to ruin the Star Wars franchise which is far more believable than the claim The Last Jedi was a good movie.
